So you guys want to prove that 4 times more charge is right!!! Oh I forgot that you don't consider 75 percent of people who belongs to either poor or lower middle class are actually people of India. You think every body can afford these services because they are living in metros. How much you earned for this story? Change the attitude, it's ok to do business but not to put extra pressure on consumers.
Surge Pricing basically means loot the customer while you can, take advantage of his need and helplessness. Taxi service is for convenience of population, not a means of fleecing the people. Same for airlines and the tatkal system of railways. All services should be priced on "cost plus" basis, give the service provider full recovery of his expenses, give him full profit and thats all. If the rate of Rs 10 per km gives him adequate profit where is the justification for Rs 20 per km??? This way they will manipulate the system to ensure that the public transport never improves, and they continue to loot the people. * Will anyone accept surge pricing concept in times of disaster ... that anyone who can pay more will get saved first, the others can wait ????? we are losing all our sense of propriety in the name of market economy.
Author wants to say getting fleeced by ola and uber surge pricing is good for customer ! Indeed we were all missing these neo natwarlals to enrich our lives.
Dynamic Pricing is a must to balance demand supply discrepancies. When there is a high demand and surge pricing is applied , this high demand attracts drivers from peripheral areas outside Delhi. When more cars arrive , the higher supplier brings down the surge price
This is not acceptable at any level? Will you pay more money for same services, this is purely cheating? The act of the Government is absolutely correct and appreciable..
how could they be allowed to blacking by charging totally unrealistic amount. They were quoting 1.75 in normal days too. It should never exceed 1.20 in any case.
if they run away with someone else citing better prospects am sure authors will not complain to the police. we have left i diots and half ba ked i diots like these auth ors who think good economics is good for all citizens

I have experienced ,these service providers are much cheaper as compared with service being provided by unorganized taxi players & auto .
