The vast majority of temples have lands which were supposed to be cultivated. But over time these lands were occupied and used as houses. Let the lands be used for agriculture by auctioning the land and renting it out to corporate farming. See the difference and rise in income.

How many temple lands have you come across? Why are you posting useless comments.Farmers have their private lands and our PM is trying to make agriculture a profitable business so that our farmers do not commit suicides on account of debts.
While a large sector of the society has enjoyed It as a comfort employment agriculture is to be seen as a sustainable employment for the middle class. let the middle class be the owner of a small farm nearby and rent it out. or be a partner. see th difference
I have recently visited a farm of approx. size of 6 acres having more than 50 varieties planted and giving yield much better than conventional (existing) farming happening everywhere in India.
Without using artificial or chemical fertilizers and pesticides the yields are much higher than regular one, so the dream of doubling the income of farmers by 2022 should not be considered as a distinct dream of PM. If the government takes right steps and changes the way farming is happening today it's quiet possible.
The said project is at Village Bhendshil, near Badlapur, Dist. Thane, Maharashtra.

Your frustration with their rhetoric and type of writing that shows up on rediff - is totally understandable.

Poor followers of Jumle baaz - donot worry you will have no work after 2019.
Farmers owning small lands should merge their lands to form big lands so that they can form cooperatives and make use of latest technology rather than depend on nature for farming.
