Very good move by smart fellows, actually BJP does not want money they want to punish the people first, whereas they could not punish so far even the corrupt politicians of UPA, and could not bring a major black money within India. Money can only come with incentives and security not by threats.
The article "Most of the black money Indians had deposited in Swiss banks was cleared out during the last decade" - Its quite understandable since UPA never took any step towards bringing back black money. They also slept on Supreme court directive of forming SIT. When there is such a publicity for such a long period, its natural that people move out their money. The mistake of Modiji is promising 15 Lakhs. After all he is also politician. It is upto people to think that what would have happened if UPA was give third term ?

People took away means that they were afraid of previous govt and siphoned off. Nothing wrong that the name of the account holders are there and very well it could have been scrutinised at any point of time - how much deposited and as to how it is withdrawn. Based on that action could be initiated at any point of time and not necessary the balance amount is in the account or not. However it is stated that Indians have kept amount not as stated by Indian political parties In Indian Banks some 10-15 years ago, people used to maintain more number of a/cs in different names, different addresses and in different banks and branches too. Now wherever and whichever the bank a person maintain a/c or accounts, it would be clubbed with one CIF Number.
Black money is stored not just in Swiss banks, but i 100 other tax havens abroad.....and a lot of it is i real-estate, gold, benami transactions, film industry, front companies etc......
