rediff should promote such farmers by printing more about them instead of giving more coverage to film gossips and cricketers. I am not interested which film star has opened which shop, who said what about other, who is having affair, who is getting married or divorced and so on because they are no use to me, such news does not increase my knowledge. To tell the truth I never heard of black rice and its medicinal value. I knew only about white and brown rice.I had eaten African varieties of rice, i have eaten Philippines varieties of rice and many Indian varieties of white and brown rice, now I will search of black rice.
Nice to read and endeavour that he has made by innovative technique is a set of example. I am a resident of Chandankiyari block of Bokaro district Jharkand state where water crisis is the major problem. It will be encouraging if someone conduct a programme to cultivate with less water.
Thousands salutes to Devakanta. We need him nationwide. Any Govt. listening ? Thanks to Rediff. Keep posting more article like this. Its rejuvenating like fresh air full of life.
What educational qualification Mr. Devakanta has, it is not mentioned here but I salute the dedication he has. A great job is being done by him. To increase organic farming is requirement of our country. Let’s know, if I want to purchase a little quantity of black rice, say 2 or 3 kg, how I shall be able to get it. Binay B.
