Using natural bio manure has been in practice since centuries. These are the modern scientists who have forced use of chemicals as fertilizers simply copying the WEST. Even they have genetically modified so many agri products so much so that many of the varieties of natural produce have dis appeared frm earth. Natural produces are suiting to the climatic requirements to keep the consumer healthy. Shri Devakantas' efforts are appreciable and Govt must support him and other likewise farmers.
A robust agricultural income loss insurance is the answer for all issues of Indian agriculture. A robust insurance product with complete education and periodical awareness camps for a period of three on the moral hazards of such agri income loss insurance product and right use of it will change the face of indian agriculture. This will help doing away with all agri subsidies including fertilizer subsidies of about 1.80 lakh crore. Wish GoI will give a serious and sincere thought to this robust agri income loss insurance products. Existing agri insurance is only primitive insurance.
