Best comment, sir. Charity should primarily focus on skill development, education and training and not as mundane as a free meal, clothes, subsidized housing or other material necessities - except for physically or mentally incapable.

EXCEPT TATA's NONE OF INDIA's BUSINESS TYCON's ARE TRUE DONERS
by sudhakar sk on Sep 30, 2014 03:19 PM  | Hide replies

We can bet on philonthrophy
by TATA's to some extent;
while all others are selfish
as they seeker of
all tax benifits
from Govt.'s scheme's.

In fact, most of our
business-men are corporate
"criminals" and
hypocrates to the core.

UPA II made compulsary CSR
for welfare of community,
resulting they making tall claims
of donation while hiding the
huge tax benifits they
claim
with IT benifit like
80G
35AC I, II & many other sections.

Are you taking of that Tata who used money and influence to get a yes-man as Telecom minister in your favorite UPA-II govt? He is not heard describing cookie recipe on phone to Niira Radia and he has never even disputed the contents of the phone conversation. All he says is that his privacy is breached by making these tapes public.

As expected, none of the Ambani brothers figure on this list of givers. They belong to the list of takers. Maybe they have found a way to carry their wealth beyond the grave.

Why Shibulal?
by Prasanna Vishwasrao on Sep 30, 2014 12:41 PM

Why is Shibulal included in this group? He is donating only Rs.36 crore while the others are giving away literally thousands of crores. It is like when others are donating Rs.100, Shibulal is donating one paisa.
