Tallest statue?
by Durga Prasad on Nov 01, 2014 02:44 PM

In the honour of our late leader it is very good gesture to build a statue.

It makes nosense to build tallest statue in the world.

It does not mean any thing to Indian citizens or world.

Modi Ji please use your commonsense.

We need a good and big statue ...but not worlds tallest.(You are wasting money).

Can't wait to see a crow trying to get into grips on Sardars head
by Ravi on Oct 28, 2014 01:00 PM

Most of these statues are public toilets for crows.

Perhaps thats natures way of showing how dumb this idea is.

Statue of Sardar Patel
by Ravi Kumar on Oct 28, 2014 12:22 PM

I never could imagine how Patel sahab motivated 562 princes to leave their whole property and come on footpath. At that time if those prices were united then perhaps Indian army was not in position to retaliate them. It is very strange how Sardar Patel handled that difficult situation of partition, riots and large influx of immigrants with unifiying such great India which is still difficult to manage. We should pay tribute to that great soul who himself had no property, but arranged such large empire for we Indians. The Statute would be small tribute for him. perhaps Kangresses never built anything in his name.

J&K gets every year a lot more than they pay as taxes. Gujarat pays a lot more than it gets. 700 crore is already charity. What is the final cost of secularism? Those who pay taxes should also turn beggars?

A Ganita Vatika is needed in the area of the statue
by Vishnu Sharma on Oct 28, 2014 09:13 AM

We do not need a 182 metre high statue near the Sardar Sarovar dam.

A 120 meter statue will suffice.

Adjacent to the statue, we need to build the nation's first "Ganita Vatika" or mathematical garden on either bank of the river.

The first of its kind anywhere in the world which will show 216 different mathematical concepts in sculptures, floral patterns, mazes and fountains.

This will boost Shri Modi's popularity and illustrate different mathematical
concepts to people of all ages who tour the garden.

It will be an open air garden with 216 different mathematical exhibits
which covers the findings of Indian, American, European, Japanese, Chinese and Islamic Mathematicians. sprawled over a large area with hands-on models so that kids and youngsters can have all the fun they want and also learn many mathematical concepts as they interact with the exhibits.

Among the innovative exhibits will be Sangaku, Brachistochrone curves, Tautochrone slides, Giant Bean machines,Geometrical concepts, Tessallations, Concepts in probability and Measurements, Shapes, Reuleaux triangles, Trigonometry, Curves of different kinds which can be generated by operating levers, Concepts in Calculus and Calculation of Areas and volumes, Combinatorial math and Topology, Fibonacci series and Pascal Triangles.

This Ganita Vatika will be a novel concept and will enhance the prestige of Shri Modi and portray him in a very positive light as a lover of the sciences.

How about building a series of schools, hospitals, water treatment plants and staffing them properly... and naming them after Sardar Patel.

Better still, CONgress will appoint their people, and the schools will be run for teaching secularism and tolerance to one clan, and demand more and more to others.

Water treatment plant will bypass the actual plant and decomposing garbage will float over Sardar Sarovar, all chemicals will be embezzled by Skylight V@dr@ Chemicals limited, who will get a loan from Sardar Sarovar Projects to open a factory to make the chemicals, and then sell them, and they will amass 500 crores in capital without having produced a single kilo of the cleaning chemical.

Hospitals will never have medicines or docs, docs will be trained to be C0RR(_)PT and run nursing homes next to same hospital, and medicines will be sold in market by the staff in collusion with CONgis who will glorify PHONIA MATA's generosity in return.

Development a la Italian Anti-national CONgress.

Why?
by Ravi on Oct 28, 2014 08:28 AM  | Hide replies

Build longest bridge, tallest tower, biggest dam, longest water pipeline instead.

At least it will benefit the masses.

How will a "tallest" statue help in anyways? As the wise men say "After the pride comes the fall."

On the first look, it looks like a huge waste of money, but then it generates business for L&T and benefits its employees, which is a chain reaction for other economic activity. Instead of giving free rice, free this, free that, govt should from time to time come up with any such beneficial ideas that generate employment to a large extent. Lastly, it would generate a huge tourist potential, which would be one of the only big earning source for any country or place in coming days, with all resources and fronts drying up.

Statue will bring tourist.. agreed to some extent but not worth spending specially for developing country. (There are many other issues to spend the money for).... ... what about spending billions for bullet train..Can you find any logical explanation for that too.
