in 1946 prior to independence all independent states of india secretly transferred their GOLD to swiss banks and BRITISHERS helped those kings with syndicate of congress party and muslim league also this must be noted that clever BRITISHERS came here not for piknic but for doing banking business so did they before leaving india all the secret wealth were transferred to secret bank accounts leaving both india and parkistan bankrupt that is why some rich families fro india as well as parkistan frequently visit britain as well as SWISS BANKS

You do make sense and could be true.
But you have to provide some facts, incidences, literature and evidence, cannot just say for the sake of saying.

Under-valued assets
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Mar 14, 2014 01:29 AM

The urban and rural lands and real estates held by Maharajas are grossly under-valued in the present market situation. The under-evaluation is an order of magnitude and so many of the Maharajas who are estimated to be worth 500 or 600 million dollars are really worth a few billion dollars each.

Maharajas are real maharajas & not like the beggar turned maharajas of Indian Parliament. They dont stoop down to any level like our MPs MLAs and even after they become Ministers. The
wealth of some of the Ministers may be more than the combined wealth of all the maharajas thanks to Corruption, Constitution & Courts (which shieled the corrupt)

indian parliament is the hub of modern day kings who do nothing for almost 3 years and start work in 4 th year gear up in the 5 th year prior to elections so we must observe that LEGENDS like SACHIN r bad in spending fund they got for their area development rather sachin is so miser that he has not spent any rupees till date and now code of conduct will prevent sachin to do some work this is one type of pscological disorder when we get every thing free of cost we tend to under estimate the value of those assets sachin is bad diplomat as he saved HARBHAJAN in 2008 tour of AUSTRALIA but failed to protect emotions of ANDREW SYMONDS as he was abused by bhajji in SACHIN'S presence?

So why they do not figure in the list ????
by RAJ on Mar 13, 2014 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

What is the research done by the author before writing the article. He should have taken a sample size of top 10 Maharajas/Royals , shown us since when they got the Royal status. How popular they were in the history , which wars they had fought n against whom. How many of their family members martyred for India. What did they do in favour of Britishers to enable to retain the title. What innovative practices they did during the regime to prove that their off springs deserve to carry the titles in democratic India. What did they do in post independence India for the country and for people and for creating employment. These all factors would have shown at the end of the matrix a few clear winners( which I doubt) and all other as tail wagers who sold India to alien rulers. Had we got a Single Patriotic Maharaja after Asoka in 326 BC , we would have been ahead of all. Any way best of luck to the author for the future article , where we expect some concrete work. Jai Hind

Right.
Few things. If you visit Mysore Bangalore belt, all the green, culture of people etc are due to Mysore Vodeyars and Sir Vishwaraiah.
Next to Jaipur's city palace, you will find Janthar Manthar. If you want to respect our scientific heritage it is the best place.
I saw that Jodhpur Umaid bhavan was only about compromises with British. Do not know about administrative reforms.
But most kings cared for their people.
