Infra projects in Mumbai
by raju on Oct 14, 2013 01:05 PM

We need leaders like Modi to clear project hurdles. There are various Agencies involved in development and no one owning the responsibility. Every Agency is passing the buck or pin pointing some one's mistake. In general, the citizens related to political parties too with vested interest harass the developer or the contractors. Working in such narrow lanes are not that easy. We need persons like Sreedharan and strict political leaders in Mumbai to support fast construction of infra structure projects. All political parties should join hands in helping agencies for the betterment of Mumbai. Instead they only fight for their individual gains. Only people like Mr. Raj Thackrey can with control can perform in Mumbai. Honesty alone will not help as present CM seem to be genuine and not strict. Any issue should be addressed in single window concept and this will make things to happen.

RAHULS SPEECH: WORK FOR 100 DAYS , EAT FULL ROTI AND VOTE CONGRES

A Country progresses by providing job opportunities to citizens .

... and not by giving freebee for votes and making its citizens lazy....

why stop at only free food grains , everyone also needs FREE.. meat, vegetable , houses, clothes, TVs and free holidays as well !!!

Socialism has failed all across the globe (USSR).... Capitalism, hard work & fair competition is the way to go (USA)...

FAKE Gandhi virus has delivered the final death blow to the hope & dream of India becoming a global superpower and put the country back by 30yrs ..

If UPA wins for third time ,All the hard working Indians should plan to move abroad or quit their jobs and get a BPL card..

You are right, D J!

Best way of defeating U P A is by overloading its populist entitlement programs!

I feel there is lot of investment in real estate by politicians, power brokers, business men located in South Mumbai hence, price difference between various parts of Mumbai is significant. This is real cause in infrastructure project delay like Metro rail, important connecting bridges, flyovers etc. As soon as these transport infrastructure develops price of real estate will drop in South Mumbai and suffering of Mumbaikar will ease.

The delay is because of bribes not being satisfactory to the powerful in the government. If Modi were the CM of the state the growth of the state would have been double over a period of five years. Maharashtra has to suffer and endure all the rot.

Please try to separate "Bomaby" from Maharashtra, if you have the guts!

This is an open challenge to any leader in Delhi!

hi, firstly, i am not in favour of separation. BUT, these split things happen only with the help of local leaders who will be in different mask. beware and lets take care of them.

What?

No local leader, either from the S e n a s or Congress Party or N C P, is in favor of even thinking about this "split"!

Demand for separating Mumbai from Maharashtra comes exclusively from people of UP and Bihar living in Mumbai who have to behave themselves and because they cannot convert Mumbai into another Patna or Lucknow!

There is no need to separate Mumbai from Maharashtra or to get emotional when the issue is raised. It is a fact that a disproportionate amount of the states spending is on Mumbai without any real results to show; however, a separate state or UT of Mumbai is not going to change the situation for the hapless "public" of Mumbai. A separate Division (Mumbai is now part of Konkan Division) and a separate administrative structure for Mumbai (Both BMC and MMRDA have failed) may provide a solution

Make all state capitals Union Territories.Because woes of city people canonly be understood by the people of that city and not by an MLA of any backward area.

by Abhimanyu Kumar on Oct 14, 2013 12:35 PM

These projects are being intentionally delayed by U P A so that it can plunder the Indian exchequer!

Delayed projects escalate project costs by 50% to 100% and in many cases even more!

This increase in "costs" is shared by contractors and the government!

Red Tape has been created in India to pull the gravy train called 'income from delayed projects'!
