Railway service has deteriorated very much last 5 years. Now we are always afraid of accident and can not sleep at night for fear of thieves. Safty has gone ,food is horrible , toilets are hopeless even in Rajdhani 1st class. But is increasing through back door of Tatkal which black marketing now of days more than 50% tictets are in Tatkal.
When the system was introduced very few seats/berths were reserved for Tatkal tickets. During Mr.Lalu Prasad Yadav's regime, a large number of tickets were reserved for Tatkal to get more revenue but without affecting the normal passengers. Now with further hike in the fare under Tatkal, there is a fear that the quota for Tatkal will get revised upwards once again to get additional revenue. Will the Railway Minister let the public know what %age of the seats/births are reserved for Tatkal ? Or can some one figure this out for us ?
Only reservation and Tatkal charged will be increased. Now majority portion of the tickets will be kept for Tatkal. So more revenue will be made than increasing of ticket fare. (Actually what is Tatkal? it is selling of tickets in black)This is prevailing in cinema halls, etc.
Good budget,but pl.make available tickets on demand instead waiting for long Q,introduce coupons with traders,more suburban fast trains fervency, connectivity within circles of operation between major stations,so to avoid intermediate stations rush.
Thank you, Mr. Bansal, for sparing us further fare hikes, and promising us better facilities. Please improve the stations in South India, a largely neglected area of the Railway Ministers of late.

read his mind/ lips. freight is hiked by 5% which will have cascading effect on the staff of life. It's something "referred hike" Please think before you write.

Mr. Rajiv is discussing about FARE HIKE and you are writing about FREIGHT HIKE, two different things.
