MGNREGA fiscal deficit and inflation
by Das on Feb 24, 2013 07:26 PM  | Hide replies

The best way to make Indian and its people rich is by taking power away from politicians, bureaucrats and law enforcement personnel. There continues to be excessive government in lives of India masses, which has made politicians, bureaucrats and law enforcement personnel extremely rich and masses poverty stricken.
MNREGA has designed to increase popularity of Rahul Baba as well as making Congress and UPA electable again. But the vast sums of tax payers money meant for MNREGA has ended up with politicians and their partners in crime, and at the same time it has created massive fiscal deficit and fuelled sustained double digits inflation. Shrimati Sonia ji is is trained in service industry and is not economist, and Rahul baba is also not well versed in the economics, and they should have been warned about the consequence of fiscal deficit and effect of inflation.

Sonia ji, Rahul and their advisers are hardly affected by inflation. The effect of inflation on lives of hundred of millions already living on breadline is extremely tough. But Rahul, Sonia and their buddies and families are neither knowledgeable about the economic consequence of inflation, nor it grinding effect on hundred of millions of normal families. These people being parasitic class, who get elected due to dullness of average Indian voter, divided by primitive considerations as religion, caste, region, language and even dynastic lineage, can gather billions in few years (Robert Vadra is not an isolated case).

So sad fact is that till "mango people" stop voting into people who are "brown sahibs, and vote for people based on the "content of their character" rather than parochial consideration, they will continue to be ruthlessly exploited by corrupt nexuses between rich and powerful in the politicians, bureaucrats, media and others.

MGNREGA the solution?
by French Cuisine on Feb 24, 2013 06:13 PM

Very disappointed to see the same scheme which fails as the apparent key to development. Everybody knows it is a failure.
India cannot develop by socialism. Socialised schemes increase poverty. Secondly and more importantly inflation. What is the reason to hope for any development in this kind of inflation with increasing wages just means more inflation. The economy has to grow at a very fast pace at near zero inflation - only then you can hope to beat poverty. Other factors are there - such as education for all , stopping corruption, bringing up more new cities to support influx of rural population etc. In an inflationary situation and almost staganant economy all you can do is generate socialized jobs.

Two things that would easily ensure this.
1) Get committed and capable leaders
2) Stop corruption totally.

If we stop poverty alleviation program, about 50 percent of the government machinery will be jobless, it will create problem ‘unemployment’. Infact it is one of the lucrative business opportunity for many involved secondary stakeholders.

govt is not keen to alleviate poverty
by brian crasto on Feb 20, 2013 10:59 AM

The rich are becoming richer and the poorer are becoming poorer. If the poor get accomadation, food education medical help then our politicians can not control them. Just sell them dreams that they will one day get out of problems. How will the govt come with various schemes for the poor
