Indian trains & station have lots of hazard. Lack in health & Saftey. Passengers should be educated on how to travel saftey. Govt should not tolerate breech of safety like riding on top of carriage or crossing railway track.
Apart from this modernaise all the trains. People dont want quota they want clean, safe train journey. I am truely amazed by the service of Satabdi betwen Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

Delhi Metro Authorities work for making metro clean as if they don't work action will be taken. Indian railway workers are bunch of lazy people. Sit and earn kind of. They take their job for granted. And it is creating bad image as no action is been taken against them.
None of the Indian railway stations is good. All the rly stations are of dirt, filth, lot of garbage, many beggars, people urinating and defecating anywhere in the stations.
Ask a European visitor about Indian railway stations and he will give you a comparative picture.

Agree with you completely. The problem is most stations are built by british so it looks good but badly maintained. Very few stations are properly maintained. One of them is Vashi. If you go there you will be amazed to see Mumbai railway officials who are experts in laziness are really working.
Howrah Station waiting rooms are in terrible condition. I went to First class waiting room so I can imagine about other waiting rooms. So, How Howrah Station is in the list of best railway station? I feel very sorry when I see foreign tourist in the railway station facing problems due to mismanagement of Railways.

Howrah is not an important station in Kolkata. Sealdah is the important station.
