good but fars need to be same in all india. cuurently in ural area people py more for day travel in sleeper class while travellers in mubai-pune delhi -agra play a meagre ii class fare. one needs to intorduce ii chair car and 25% extra fare as people want to travel reserved. similarly people travel in sleeper class unreserved in day tiee. a oaprtment can easily accomodate 2 extra persons in dat time so ii chair car tickes should be issued in day time and 25% extra fare and these passengers can occupy total 18 seats in sleeper. lalu move of third side birth failed as he created the other side berth as RAC. one should have 3 sideberths and permanently 2 rac. season ticket prices should be doubled. air cooled class need be introduced in suburnban and long distance trains as cheaper alternative to ac chaircar/sleeper.
She is right in identifying the cause - low fare but wrong to say that Indian public is ready to pay for better services. Indians always prefer cheaper option if it somehow gets the job done. Run two trains to the same destination - one with better services and right fare, the other with poor services and low fare. The low fare train will be jam packed while the other will be used by only a few.
I respect Lalu as Railway minister. And i respect only one railway minister that is Lalu. Many of his ideas are excellent, like Television, more sleeper, info on each coaches about next station etc. If i am PM tomorrow i will order arrest of current minister as well as mamta.
Lalu's imagination may not be the right word but he succeeded in bring Right people for the right job. The minister is not the one who can do everything, but credit should always go to The MINISTER... some people may have problem with LALU ...I can understand that ...but let me ask one thing who is stopping Right Persons now to dictate terms ..the answer is MINISTER ...LALU should be aplauded for the work he has done for Railways....

All that Lalu did was financial jugglery! Look at how he & his family ruined Bihar during their 14year rule. If he was so capable, would it have happened? It is basic common sense!
Our systen is such that we can not do better and do not try for. The system should be change and more renovation to be done, so that we can the change in economy. we sould closed the unprofitable organisation, ultimately genral public are paying for surviving the organisation. Or give it to some one who can make profit and give fruit to general public directly or indirectly.

indian system is such that every one considers himself too intelligent and others a fool if he gets a chance TO WIN A SEAT AND BE AT THE TOP at the expense of the country or the organisation . PEOPLE who want to serve the nation are kicked off at thrie back all the time to deprive them of the authority . just on language or cast basis /
