Very soon, Air India will be among the best airlines in the world as the government has decided to take the following steps:
1. All flights will be well maintained and fly safely. There will be no further delays due to technical snags.
2. All flights will actually depart on time i.e., flights will be airborne at the scheduled time of departure. (It is not good enough to begin check-in at the scheduled time of departure).
3. If by any remote chance, flights are delayed or cancelled, Air India staff will look after the passengers and not abandon them to their fate.
4. Air India staff will do their jobs with a smile.
5. Ministers and senior government oficials will be banned from flying in Air India.

United and Continental merged a year back - operating under the name of United with logo of CO. Rediff reporter is backward and not kept abreast.
