Despite whatever being written over here, the truth stands that Rasagollas owe their origin to Odisha. They have been in Odisha since centuries. They are in fact offered to Goddess Laxmi during breakfast in order to appease her. One look into wikipedia will provide enough evidence for this fact. Rediff, better do some research prior to publishing hearsay stuff.

International repute? Haldiram sells more rasogollas than K C das in international market. K C das may be credited for packaging of Rasogollas not for the invention of rasogolla. Das christened it 'rasogolla'- very much untrue
