Indians are not diabetic due to K. C das, its because they do not regulate their food habits and more important...do not excercise.

This is a sweet that can be eaten by completely sqeezing out the sugar. Therefore diabetic patients can also have it that way.

Sweet Bengal has about outlets in Mumbai. They have all the varieties of Bangla (not Bengali) sweets - very very expensive though.

we have one bengali sweetss outlet somewhere in shivaji park/mahim area...its not K.C. Das..but its a good one..forgot the name..sorry
No doubt rasagolla is a tasty sweet... but the 2nd page of this article about invention of rasagolla by KC Das is not true..... 100 years of marketing can't make him the inventor. Its a traditional sweet of Lord Jagannath for more than 600 years. Don't try to take the credit of its invention, that will make u Hijacker not the Inventor. u rediff guys, do some research..

First of all it is not a Bengali sweet . It didn t originate there, but in neighboring Orissa. Just because Bengalis have a habit of attaching Bengali in front of everything doesn t mean that the rest of India should automatically follow suit. Nobin Das s claim that he invented a totally new recipe out of nothing, is nothing but a LIE as any sensible person can see.

The sheer types of Rasagolas in Orissa is a proof of it's origin and evolution. First Rasagola and now the Bengalis are claiming even Puri and hence Lord Jagannath is theirs.
Just one and big complaint against Bengal sweet makers - the method of packaging dry sweets like sandesh in soft cardboard boxes is primitive and quite unsuitable for transporting. These boxes are hardly any good presentation. If there are so many innovations in sweets themselves why not suitable packaging! So difficult to carry a box of karapak outstation undamaged.
