yes jitendar it is really shame on indian citizens who do not have any brain inspite of these developmetns and bringing economy to such a disaster status where a common man cannot afford and bear for the rising cost of petrol and also the essential commodities, and pulses etc. Hope they will understand atleast now and bear the additional burden for another two and half years for this govt to survive?? Jai ho UPA for taking such wonderful decisions and taxing the common man by all means, it their luck to loot the public and earn as much they can ???
Why not reduce rate of duty on these items, govt. does not want to loose even single penny rather want to take advantage of increased price more and more money to pay more DA and money to politicians.

The only way left for common man is to come on the street in protest of this government which has only one business either to rise price of petrol or diesel or LPG of something or the other every week. Kick out this anti poor people govt.
How can one expect anything different from the Congress. They thrive on the difficulties of the aam aadmi. Do we need an "economist" PM to raise prices when input prices go up?

just a simple example of 3G scam, they are trying the find out the culprit and pushing them in the jail, rather than that let them get the money in to the govt account petrol and diesel canbe supplied at 40% of the price for the year.
Actually there is too much tax on the petrol products by the state Govt & Central Govts. So the talk of subsidy to the people is a blatant lie. The profit is taken by the State and Central govts. The Govts cannot collect the taxes properly and so they loot through this way and put the blame on Common man's account. Because he never raises his voice. Chalte hai
for one litre of diesel custom duty, excise duty and state vat content is Rs. 30/- Rs. litre .if they curtail duties and taxes we will get diesel at Min. at Rs.20/- Litre.But this govt. is a loot .

Agree with you. In fact as per economics theory there cannot be "LOSS per Unit or Profit per Unit" - profit or loss is an overall concept, total sales - total expenditure, so it cannot per unit of anything. Govt & oil Co's are fooling us
