the government have the excuse, they say the international price for fuel is rising..there is no other alternative but to increase the price..they don't want to cut down the admin expenses or staff salary for all oil sector employees.
The Government will tax the urban middle class to spend on free bees like NREGA etc. or CWG where auditors have come down heavily on the misuse of funds. But Govt. is intersted in subsidy fed vote banks and money to its coffers through projects like CWG.
Please pay the amount which Govt. of India will ask with you, within few days. Because these amount will nurture to all politician (all are corrupt from top to bottom) and government officials. THIS IS REQUEST TO ALL INDIANS. Please pay that such amount. Jai Hind Jai Bharat
The petrol prices have been revised thrice in last few months without touching diesel.This kind of populist measures can be taken only in India,It is leading to a very unhealthy growth of SUV & road transport which is environment unfriendly.India will be better of if government withdraws from running of railway & just focus on building capacity & allow private sector to run the rail & carry goods.

It is mainly because of the populist schemes for sustaining the vote bank. In no other country so many populist schemes like free mixies, grinders, televisions, electricity,subsidy etc. are given like India & apart from the biggest factor " political corruption"

also the government does not twice before hiking the salary of staff working in oil sectors..they are highly paid because they can hold the country to randsom...they are pampered a lot at the expense of common man.
Between 2004-2011 most companies have not increased the salaries by 20-30% (for the same experience level).But the inflation is more than 50%.Employees are becoming beggars everyday.
