In Gulf there is no tax and fantastic Infrastructure
by Alice Janho on May 10, 2011 02:07 AM

Taxes should be abolished as British rule bought this about.Instead toll on road use ,water meters ,power bills and use and pay for services should be introduced.Indians have to use their brains and build think and do something of their own instead of copying from west.In 64 years taxes are misused by corrupt goons to make their own houses run their gardens and loot common man,Instead all utility bills ,health hospitals charges should be subsidised and common man should pay and use services for their well being water power health and Doctors medical services, transport buses trains taxis planes and completely abolish Taxes in India for development as money will then go to corporates right hands and efficient services win hands down.

Abolish income tax
by gokhale jayanthi on May 10, 2011 12:57 AM

With every item being taxed, every service being taxed, there is no need for income tax. Abolishing income tax will ensure more influx of money into circulation, and the direct taxes will improve drastically. Moreover, abolishing income tax will be a psychological gain for the government and the spender also.

subsidies on kerosine and otehr products should be removed so that fuel prices will come down. With subsidies reaching the needy, ( hoping that the pipeline is indeed delivering them .. thhogh we know it is not happening ) subsidies make no meaning. This will also eliminate black market of these products..

When petrol prices were increased, The Ministry of Petroleam, to justify the price hike, very sincerely published in all leading newspapers their advertisements showing how much govt. is paying subsidy, and how much loss petroleum industry is suffering, etc. etc. IN THE SAME WAY WHY GOVERNMENT IS NOT PUBLISHING HOW MUCH MONEY THEY ARE EARNING FROM VARIOUS TAXES AND WHERE THIS MONEY IS BEING SPENT. Aam Admi will be happy to see such advertisements.

Time to abolish govt.
by Save Tiger on May 09, 2011 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

Democracy has failed and hoarded goons and looters and crushed the common man. Its time to have a serious look at democracy. In fact, I think instead of democratically elected govt. and coalition drama, we should have corporal organization who will function as govt. with people having access to scrutinizing of day to day affairs and recalling right if corrupt person holds the position.

It has never been democracy to say democracy has failed. Brits handed over india to nehru, using MK.Gandhi and gave all the systems and called it democracy. They gave four pillars of corruption - legislature, judiciary, executive and media. It never has been FOR the peopl, OF the people and BY the People. Sad part is most of aam admi do not even realise the deception!

Growth of a country happens because of aam admi's creations and taxes are required to keep basic infrastructures intact, which only require a small percentage of taxes. But, govts tax aam admis heavily to fund themselves and their vatican masters. It is modern form of slavery.
