Science alone can't provide knowledge. BTW, you have so many IITs and Enineering college to cater Science. It is a good move, atlease there are people who are giving importance to Litrature, Arts and History.

One expects a Brand Value especially when a name like Premzi is attached to it. By the way, he has made name himself because of Science, Technology, Economics, Management and Business.

I agree , but you should at the same time stop the untouchability, caste discrimination, caste apprising in every part of India. If not you should not talk about merit, since ages brahmins and some higher caste have authorized themselves to get access to vedas, upanishads and all the education. That has resulted in an imbalance in the society and it is still going on in some many villages in India.

who prevented you from reading books on veda's and upanishad's. They are available in the market or in the library. You can read them at any time. Hence, don't write rubbish against brahmins

I am not supporting or apposing the reservation. I am just giving you a fact, don't just argue with one point of view see both the sides of coin.

do not annihiliate these groups by just one stroke of line i.e. merit. mind you more than 70% of india population is made up of such people. so you can not progress without giving due representation to these people. moreover merit word is very relative and incomplete . getting marks in exam is not the only criteria of merit . the competition has to be on equal level. a graduate from interiors of jharkand can not be equated with from best of university in delhi. but that does not mean person from jharkhand is inferior. it is due to poor facilities in tha place. we need to develop equal infrastructure at all places only then you can talk of no reservation policy. till then some leverage has to continue for overall progress of india . after all india is not only delhi, mumbai or chennai
Neither He nor anyone else in India will make such a charity. he is businessman and he knows where to peep in to get his expected outcome. University will start functioning and all upper class member will pass out without any knowledge and wipro will hire them immediately...

The figure that he mentioned to start it is what he will spend on the infrastructure and then each student will have to pay their admission fee, form fee, and ever other fee that you can think off. "There is no free lunch anywhere"

I do not blame you -you have been blessed to be born and live in the land of looters and can never trust anyone doing good in our society .As far as I am concerned it is Merit which should be only criteria .No place for beggars and reservations.

The degrees being offered are in education, development and teacher education. I don't think Premji has a requirement for such qualifications in his companies. Instead, it could only help the country. So pls do appreciate someone trying to make an effort for the society
