stock markett and McKinsey / Goldman Sachs /etc wolves

The punishment to Gupta cannot stop legal looting by wolves.
Stock market public kheey lhiyee naahey. Infact, it is opposite i.e public kooha loot-neey khey lhieey hein in long run. Drain their funds legally.
Yeha jJews aur bania types have legal strategy how they can own/buy corporations majority stock and money market without producing anything innovative or productive.
Essey (stock markets) kooha bandh (ban) khar dheynaa chaahiyee.
IT DOES NOT SERVE ANY PURPOSE such as public equity. it is more of public manipulation and looting.

This is effort to tarnish image of an Indian who did well in US

Let us not jump to conclusion as SEC has the tendency to make such claims particularly people of Asian origin. He is a great philanthropist & represents large corporates with enough money. Why would he jeopardize his reputation for Rajratnam? It is not yet clear if he bought shares on his phone call or some other member of GS.Rajat is smart enough not to use his phone to release such information if that be the case.

Very Common in India
by Frank Barone on Mar 04, 2011 07:11 PM

Insider trading is very common in India. CEOs and board directors of all big companies in India do it and there is no check on such tradings in India.

Mr Rajat Gupta is an immigrant American. He may have been born and educated in India but beyond this there is no need for us Indians to feel ashamed of what is purely a personal problem of Mr Rajat Gupta. There are other Americans too who have gone down the same road and suffered its consequences and so will Mr Rajat Gupta.
It is sad to read some of the posts which berate an entire people. This is the worst kind of stereo typing and develops a completely unconnected guilt complex. Why should we Indians feel ashamed about Mr Gupta's actions, just because some Americans or Britons carry such perceptions.
It must be admitted that insider trading is unethical because it bestows undue benefit at the cost of others. One must honestly ask the question: Is it fair to benefit, even oneself, based on information provided in trust?
Every one faces this question but few would walk away from such temptation. So it is matter of one's choice and face the consequences of being detected.
Mr Rajat Gupta, we are sure have ample reasons to defend his name and character in the US courts.

has to be true
by ar on Mar 04, 2011 05:37 PM

rajat gupta has to be a liar and crook, otherwise he would not have succeeded in a management consulting firm and gone to the top. These people do some social work just to show off and give away few millions but they loot 100 times more from the same society using their lies and crookedness. In the corporate world high levels, especially in the westernized approach, how you become successful is not important, have you become successful or not is the only important thing. Rajat is a product of that kind of system and he has reached the top levels there, it means for him there cannot be any difference between lie and truth, whatever suits his interests at the time of speaking has to be true for him and whatever action brings him benefits has to the the right action. You need not go to his level, just talk to any higher level person in any company, within seconds you will notice that he is very selfish and crooked and he will see his benefits in every word he speaks and every action he does. You will clearly notice that for him truth and lie are one and the same, he just speaks whatever is beneficial to him at the moment.
See Raja, Raju, or any politician on TV, do you think they really mean what they speak ? They just fart fart and fart.

The statement "Sanctity of Board Room Is Vitiat
ed" does not impact the Indian psyche. The aver
age Indian is born greedy with proclivity for
Insider Trading,Filing False Claims from Health
Care Companies like scores of Indo American Doctors,Falsification of Accounts and Producing
Fictitious Vouchers like the way 4 Members of
House of Lords did it in UK.They are very smart
and crooked and at the same time stupid enough
leaving tell-tale evidences amounting to self
betrayal. We,at least, should remember it is a
different ball game in countries like USA ,UK
unlike in India. The great Prez Richard Nixon of
USA was not spared due to his Watergate Scandal
and was unceremoniously pushed into Political Oblivion.

Dishonest rajat Gupta
by Suresh Potdar on Mar 04, 2011 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

SEC is not alleging on one incidence or one charge. It must be having genuine evidence.

There is fire so there is smoke.

Helping charities , as Rajat Gupta has done,is no guarantee that Rajat Gupta is honest.

He must have done smart work than hard work at McKinsey. Now many skeletons will come out of his cupboard.

Indians are basically dishonest as is well known to historians.

Though not exact equivalent, Rajat Gupta is another Jack Welsch- showing his greed and low origin post his retirement.

God bless us and we do not produce more such dishonest Banias who reach top positions , perhaps by manupulative ability than commttment.
