Kunjal. She said percentage only but she forgot what is it. Neither has anyone conducted this poll nor anyone answered. Only to gain some publicity this is done.

Bangalore has contributed a lot for India!
by Ranganath S on Mar 07, 2011 12:02 AM  | Hide replies

Thanks to IT-BT and the aspiring engineers. I hope bangalore attracts the doctors too as it is now becoming one of the preferred hubs for healthcare too - all in all it's great to see the engineers and others stick on to India, especially Bangalore, than flying away to the USA or other countries in search of jobs...just think what would have India been without Bangalore? only highlighted by cricket, corruptions, and terrorism - Great Bangalore - Great People!

Even Before IT, it had wonderful Engg concerns, HAL, NAL, Yenkay, L&T Hydraulics etc. B'lore was always an Engg leader right from the times of Vishveshwarayya.

Yeah! i am Full Mad and half Rascal...Kidding.

Actually, the original twin cities are Mylapore and Triplicane. Chenna Patnam was when the city expanded and settlers came from Andhra. Alas, Mylapore and Triplicane are Brahmin places. How come being an anti-brahmin frevour tolerate it. Named it Chenna Patnam and shortened for modernity as Chennai.

Name chennai is as idiotic as British kept Madras.

why are you unnecessarily referring to dalits here? The other person has referred to vaniyars. Dare if you can take a dig at him

You can be anti-brahmin - that is OK. But you cannot even say that someone is a Dalit. Thanks

Wondering abt Rediff..
by surya das on Mar 06, 2011 08:49 AM  | Hide replies

It shows surprisingly Mumbai is at 6th position? First rediff understand what is the subject of this article! This article says best 6 cities for engineering jobs.

Then where is the surprising factor came in mind.

Mumbai is the business capital of India, so most preferred jobs will be related to finance, marketing and related to stock market.

Do you think if engg will select Detroit as their preffered job location ahead of NY?

You should understand NY, London, Chicago, HK, Singapore are known for financial hub who regulates the World.

That is why Mumbai's GDP is 10% of India's GDP where as Bangalore is not even contribute more than 3% so as other cities.
