I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, OfferPenny. com

Supreme court lands tight slap on forcible land acquisition

In an historic and ground-breaking verdict today honourable supreme court has landed a tight slap on govt-promoter

-industrialist unholy nexus orchestrating forcible land acquisition in the name of "development". Supreme court has

fined Greater Noida Development Authority of Mayawati govt rupees ten lakhs and directed them to return 156.17

hectares of forcibly acquired land to unwilling farmers. Why isn't rediff reporting this?

the point of any bengal related article on rediff is to blindly criticize (directly or indirectly) anything mamata banerji and tmc have done, are doing, will do. rediff and business standard would spare no efforts to shove their communist agenda down our collective throats while remaining silent on any positive day to day developments performed in the state by this nascent govt.

Dear Ranjit,
Bengalees have gone other state not for CPIM Govt. This is due to unhealthy work culture created by bengalees only in the state . See when bumfront came in power 1977 they have started doing the same nonsence what TMC is doing today . But people kept them in power for 34 years .
When CPIM started to bring some work culture they are thrown out . Similarly TMC have copied CPIM may be they also wil rule for 30 to 35 years .
Then it is whose fault Politicians or Bengalees .
People like who had left bengal 20 years back they work hard , earn money , pay income tax , & that money will go for their idle feeding .
Your 2nd point, there is a demand for not brains rather iwill say qualified engineers , Technologists ,Even nowadays workers also .
Why we can not generate the same demand in WB.? Reason BENGALEES ENJOY POLITICS .
People has to change first . Even if TMC wants to do some good thing Bengalees will throw her out .
Same way Bengal in running from severel decades . It will run same way in future also .

Wipro owner is holding 90% of the share himself including Fremji Foundation, SEBI WARNS SUCH COMPANIES.
SEBI says its kind of Securities and Exchange SCAM, which wipro is doing.

Wipro ties-up with Lavasa Land Scam & Dehli Airport !!!

Wipro has invest around Rs 100-crore (Rs 1.0 billion) in infrastructure and other value-added services in Lavasa city, the first of its kind venture in the world.

Fremji can use his Swiss Black money to make Original one, like he used in Subeksha investment, so the result know every one.

Fremji has supported his son in rape & marriage of BJP girl in mumbai. Premji Purchased 600 Acres of Land in bangalore from BJP by bribing billions of dollar.

BJP has got Hindutva agenda ???
MNS want to throw ousider ???

Give any secular answer that Fremji belongs to Burma or bangaladesh, so MNS has daring to trow out premji & his family from the Mumbai.

Is BJP has daring to ask him why he has supported his son in rape & marriage of BJP girl in mumbai ??

Fremji's second son also was in rape case with Manisha koirala, any way she married to nepali.
Fremji are from Bhutan, so he should choose his second daughter in law from bhutan !!!

by hal jordan on Jun 25, 2011 02:59 PM  | Hide replies

So Bengalis will pay Rs. 399 per LPG cylinder from today while the rest of India will continue to get poorer by Rs. 415 per cylinder. Eat your hearts out dear commies and detractors of Mamata Banerji govt. How's that? ;)

Mamata Banerji protested the price hike last night itself during her teleconference with PM Manmohan Singh. When he expressed inability to stop price hike, Mamata Banerji decided to waiver cess for the relief of common people in Bengal.

Waiver of cess on domestic LPG unit price is an unprecedented public interest decision in the history of West Bengal, possibly in the history of entire India.

Which Indian state doesn't have bandhs, agitations?
by hal jordan on Jun 25, 2011 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

Answer, none. All of them have strikes and engage in political agitations. Insufficient reason for TATA Motors to leave a state unless the real reason had nothing to do with business and they did it to give CPIM political mileage. Fortunately this ploy had backfired against both Tata Motors and CPIM.

there hadn't been any demonstrations in Singur for over 2 months before Tatas jumped ship. Tatas left because they had been offered adequate compensation by Gujarat govt for their investments in Bengal.

Tatas all set for court defeat and amicable settlement
by hal jordan on Jun 25, 2011 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

Tata Motors needs Bengal more than Bengal needs Tata Motors.

Firstly, 150 plus leading industrialists including Yogi Deveswar, Anil Ambani, Purnendu Chatterjee, Sanjeev Goenka, R.K. Birla, Harsh Neotia, Sanjay Budhia etc are already interested in investing in Bengal. So are other companies of the Tata group.

So Tata Motors needs Bengal market and its purchasing power. Bengal's lack of prominent industries (56 thousand factories closed by CPIM's millitant trade unionism) made them think they would have early bird advantage. How are you so sure:

1. Tata motors' business rivals aren't secretly interested in the 600 acre land after returning disputed 400 acres to farmers?

2. Even if corporates aren't for argument's sake, several central govt projects including railways are already openly interested in setting up shop there. What's the difference between one investment and another?

3. How can you be sure Tatas haven't been adequately compensated by Gujarat govt for their losses incurred in Singur?

4. Tatas wrote to CPIM in 2008 that they would return the land if compensated by WB govt. So why this sudden about-face and legal battle? Especially when current WB govt had openly said Tatas could continue production on undisputed 600 acres land and even ask Hoogly District and district court for compensation should they wish to terminate lease. Why this sudden interest instead in challenging a bill which has acquired force of law, unless acting at CPIM's beh
