Indian corporates are milking money at gthe cost of the poor in connivance with the netas and babus. Is there a single one in this list who has not benefited from this corrupt system? Are they ready to first look within? This is just a tamasha to score some media points.

For a fresh series of games.

The games of scam-mongering, nursing, defending, deciding take home booties for each party.

In any case they will soon need money.

If there is a mid-term poll !!!

Keep shuffling, Sir.

Keep it up.

Exclusive! Why the eminent citizens wrote the open letter
by Sankar Mitra on Jan 20, 2011 12:26 PM

Many thanks for your initiative.
The letter should be addressed to the corporate leaders as well.
God has created man with greed of money and power. So corporate bodies would continue to supply corruption in any system. To tackle this menace, 2300 years back Chanakya incorporated elaborate spying infrastructure in his system of governance. I am not suggesting to do exactly what Chanakya did because time and systems have changed. But greed has remained. So we need to incorporate a system in line with Chanakya – but in a different form that suits today’s condition. This needs to be decided through discussions by a body of top level administrators to be appointed by parliament.
Such open letters help in creating public consciousness and opinion.
I am 74 years of age. I confirm that I shall continue till I am fit mentally and physically.
My recommendations are:
The relationship between tax payer and IT authorities is based on the assumption that tax payer is corrupt unless proved otherwise. In a similar way the cornerstone of relationship between government and the ministers/ bureaucrats/ employees should be based on the assumption that all are corrupt and hence it needs continuous vigil.
The other factor of corruption is demand/supplymismatch, which can be sorted out by appropriate economic policies. Today we hear, untimely monsoon caused onion shortage. When untimely monsoon happened, we should have stopped export and start import. But the con

were these eminent leaders and so called social enterpreneurs sleeping...waiting this magniture scam to happen ????????????? why now?

as Mr Arun Shourie says, business people, they play both sides.

there are telecom companies pressing opposition hard to stop this and once the opposition comes to power they will even do the same thing what they did to congress now.

why this hypocracy?

and also, adding, manmohan singh is the weakest ever prime minister of india. he has no guts nor balls to tackle anything.

when people say the government no have will, means they are right

The letter alone is not sufficient. Action must follow.First there should be a way of recalling the corrupt politician, be it a President of the nation or an MLA. Secondly, there should be no Govt control on investigation(by CBI)of corrupt dealings, exclusively, in the hands of the Govt as of now.The Govt will certainly shield the big sharks, starting from Party President to a chota mota utility man in the admin(like Kalmadi)! The case of the "illegal Swiss Bank accounts containing evaded tax money", in the SC is a standing example of how ridiculous the matters could turn, even with the highest body like SC asking for documents to maintain law in the country! Thirdly, the big business houses should also be publicly named and shamed and directors jailed as a Petrovsky in Russia. A good step ahead would be to pronounce the extreme penalty on the corrupt biz man / politician gang, as a street dog used to street dirt could never be corrected! There should be a severe punishment to deter other experimenters taking the same faulty route. Finally the Biz men and the FM of the Govt should not forget that high GDP alone is not the panacea to solve the backwardness of the Indian farmer and the BPL villager. The MBAs from IIMs are unfit to solve our problems. A greed free mind is very essential at all levels. We can prosper without the politician and the greedy Bania! Example: The micro financing banks got scuttled due to greed of the Banias only! So, Jago Bhai Ja

who understand this GDP . CPI, CRR, Interest rate etc, what matters to the most poor people is basics of food like onion, salt, vegetable and rice.

they dont ask for anything more like what the eminent dignitaries have .

if government can't make this available to them, atleast let them die peacefully.

The CAG’s report on the 2G spectrum has proven beyond reasonable doubt that this is a scam of massive proportions involving corruption, arbitrariness, loss to the public exchequer, and abuse of authority at the highest levels of the government involving politicians, civil servants and even corporate houses. The CAG’s estimate (which was based on the prices paid by bidders in the auction of 3G spectrum) indicate that the Indian exchequer was defrauded to the extent of a staggering 1,52,000 crores!
In the recent past, we have also witnessed the ugly and shameful corruption surrounding the Commonwealth Games and the Adarsh Housing Society scam in Mumbai. These are only a few scams that have s
