Numbered Accounts...
by Karthik on Jan 22, 2011 10:14 AM

Why dont indian govt give permission to its banks for having swiss banks type of numbered accounts..

I am not kiddin.. just have a thought on this.. atleast the corrupt money wont go out of india. Even if we could get 5% of the above quoted funds, it will do immense help to our economy.

Please dont about ethics or else tell the best thing is to stop corruption, it has become almost impossible...

What is million...billion
by dhiviya mukuth on Jan 21, 2011 05:24 AM  | Hide replies

Why in the world the Indian media has to report the numbers in millions and billions and not in lakhs and crores. If the figures are in our indian denomination it will help people to comprehend and gauge the actual value of money thats being casually discussed in articles like this.
Also if they have reported in crores, our own smart people can calculate by hand the amount of money that could have gone out of india, no matter what the rankings say.
Our politicians, businessmen and beaurocrats are beyond this tame rankings ...lol

Wrong Information!
by Godrocksbig on Jan 20, 2011 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

Our Local MLA himself is worth atleast 200 crores and has tens of his henchmen moving in Benz Cars. If one MLA is that rich imagine the wealth of the entire political clan of India... it would be 100 Trillion Dollars. India is easily the gold medal winner of all wrong doings.

3 hundred lakh crores of Indian money is parked in the swiss bank
by Rahul Singh on Jan 20, 2011 12:55 PM  | Hide replies

The black money or ill gotten money parked in various international banks is to the tune of three hundred lakh crores. If the same money is brought back India will not be land of scarcity. Every thing including money will be in plenty and every village and taluka will prosper.

Dear Mr Narain,
you are another pathetic example of an anti Bengali non Bengali .
Half of India is poorer than Bengal.Bihar, Orissa , North East & the Bimaru states have less per capital income compared to Bengal.Yet you find likes of Mayavati, Laloo yadav & others who have amassed millions while ministers from Bengal have rarely or neber incurred any major scandal. The answer at least partly lies in having a Rabindranath. Culture does matter when it comes to combat corruption. Thats why the richest nations like Finland are also least corrupt, while poorest Haity , Nigeria & Ethiopea have millionaire potiticians. Mother India should introspect honestly to find her cronic illness of corruption rather than finding a scapegoat in Bengal
