FM might have mixed up some old budget papers also, who knows. He is another S.M.krishna but no one has the knowledge to correct it unlike Krishna's speech.

Budget Good For Netas only

"For senior citizens above 80 years, the tax exemption limit has been raised to Rs 500,000".
This is aimed at our netas only - most of them are above 80 and 'earning' huge amounts.

These politicians are the only people who are confident that they can live for more than 80 years. That much they are maintaining themselves. Luxurious life... He has made arrangement for future of all old politicians

Transparency
by sanjay bhatia on Feb 28, 2011 02:50 PM  | Hide replies

The Finance Minister should be transparent. We know for sure that Congress will not do anything without taking bribes. Therefore in the budget the exemptions given to ecrtian industries would have been done after money would have changed hands. FM should disclose the names of corporates and individuals who are sponsoring the budget like it is done in any other show. The corporates name can be given at the end of each and every changes / exemptions the FM announces in his budget speech.

It is our mistake that we elect such corrupt, self centric, narrow minded people. They know, indians can not come together to change the game, so they rule over us. No matter which party wins..

They can not control inflation and they can not release untaxed money in publics hand. Our own earned money we do not have at our discretion without paying them JUST BECAUSE WE ARE PAID BY THEM. Where as business man and private holders enjoy all they money comfortably.

FM should have taxed those earning above Rs 30 lacs p.a by 50% and left those earning upto Rs 5 lacs tax free. This will generate higher consumer spending which will trigger givt expenditure for growth. Black money holders' assets should be taxed at 75% which will be a deterrant for future evaders . He should have taken apledge to unearth undisclosed income

and how is that justified? Even at the same tax rate, those who earn more pay more tax amount. Why should the rate also be higher?

my major issue is we pay upto 30% tax when we get salary and again we have to pay taxes when we buy things, go and eat in hotel and all...so what all this means...we end up paying taxes of @50% plus of our salary.....is it fair..

Directly or indirectly we are paying more than 50% tax to the government. That why Rs. 20 lakh crore money is in swiss bank.

But for sure THOSE WHO EARN LESS THAN 5 LAC needs to be exempted. with 1.8 lac u have less than 20,000 per month to bring up a family of 6 persons (2kids, 2 parents and couple). this evasion will be the ROOT of black money

If Lower rate of Central Excise Duty enhanced from 4 per cent to 5 per cent then all the goods which was minimum Excise duty will be paid 1% extra. That means we have to spent 1% extra money from our pocket. dear FM from where it's come ? And also told who earn 15000/- will not under Tax payer . But what about those who earn 100 to 120 per day ? How much the price of Rice & Oil ? U think , U R so cleaver, but remember we also know Economics ? U again Prove Cong. Party is the party of Rich-man ?
