Will the Finance Minister help us to collect fees which remain outstanding for years together? Most the professionals have cash system of accounting, and recovery of fees is major concern, now without recovery one has to pay service tax out of pocket. This is simply unacceptable. ICAI ICWA ICS should take serious view and represent before FM.

We can see growth everywhere in south but nothing has changed in northern parts of our INDIA. Even the educated class is not helping the poor people or the farming laboures across in north India. The greedy educated class always wants food items at low cost which means at the cost of the poor farmers. North is ...ruled by politicians...ruled by local illiterate people panchayaths heads by goons...ruled by RAJA Bhayyas... In north anybody can see landlords with 1000 acres of land but farming by illitrare bond labourers and nobody is raising any action taken against these LANDLORDS...

I seriously feel that this budget is a waste. What a senior citezin of 80 years will do of that tax exemption. I agree to the tax exemption of Sen Cit of 60 years and above but not that 80 years. The person who need tax exemption is young person who have a huge tas ahead of them in sustaining for food inflation, buying a house and other life amenities. I am not saying older above 80 will not need that, but there are so less people like that, it wont affect them even. It will only help people who have a joint business in the name of their father, grandfather..... At least this guy could have increased the investment limit to 1.5 lakh if not anything else

you are absolutely right. Even the limit for womens was 1,90,000 and not 2,40,000. Pranabda your memory is lost, now take a retirement.

I don'nt understand why this special concession to women. It is OK, in case of widows, handicaped, single living women, married women working away from spouse, unmarried, or if only the women is working. The truth is that majority working women's spouse is also working. In such case, no justification in this concession because the expenditure is not increasing i.e. light bill, LPG, house loan repayment, house taxes, association maintenace charges, education expenses of children other day today expenses. So they are leading luxurious life. Moreover they are getting concession from other sources, in railways lower birth quote, ladies quota, special concession to start business, regn. fee concession etc. Who will see the problems of single earning men?

Instead of giving Individual Limits, he should give combined limit to 5 lakh. It will reduce unemployment. But, to think at this level FM needs brain.

Indians are aware of such vote bank policies now. And Congress will see it in next election .
Rediff has posted wrong information for women it slab it was Rs 1.9lac for the FY 2010-11. Pranab jee hasn't cleared about women IT slab.. I request to please update the same
