Budget rating
by Abhishek Chopra on Feb 28, 2011 01:41 PM

Overall the bedget is Average. Salary class is better by Rs.2,060 on account of hike in exempetion limit. The main issuse which alone can resolve all Govt. deficit is Black money and Govt. should put it swet and blood to bring it back to India. So that we need not to bear such large quantum of Tax i.e. Income tax, VAT, Service Tax, Excise, Wealth Tax,Sales Tax,Custom duty etc. The burden on regular tax payer is increasing year by year because of this Corruption,Scam etc resulted in huge Black mone going out of India.

Only in India the budget has such an importance & impact ( if any). elsewhere in the world, the business environment & not the budget has an impact. So even today India is a regulated economy

as per FM we should start begging on the road and save 2000/-
by pala on Feb 28, 2011 01:39 PM  | Hide replies

he says Rs.2000 middle class people save yearly. What does it mean? DMK Ministers and MP's will save above crores of rupees but service class people only 2000/-. If i start begging on the road I will save Rs.2000/- Monthly.

KYC norms only arrest Financial inclusion and feed to corruption
by sathyam guda on Feb 28, 2011 01:38 PM  | Hide replies

Some one without brains may have introduced something called KYC norms. This hinders financial inclusion as well as volumes of banking transactions. The concept behind this is to monitor/check/plug illegal monies, money laundering, and graft money. But can any one give evidence that it has arrested any graft money reduction/corruption of day to day life in petty offices/ by petty officials/incpme tax growth/compliance, decrease of income tax compliance-Can any one say these KYC norms have arrested any black money by traders in markets like Troop bazaar (Hyderabad), mass electrical and electronic markets (Hyderabad), Plywood/decolam sheets/begum bazaar (Hyderabad) markets or such markets that every city has, where most people by/sell without any bills? What for these KYC norms? Is it only to harass middle class people to transact with bank without any hassles? Or to feed corruption in tahasil offices/municipal offices etc where one has to give bribe to get address proof like ration card/voter card etc. This KYC norms is ridiculous. If documents (for address/identity check) are to be policing instruments there is no pitiable condition than this. Present UID also will add to corruption by laps and bounds. Remove this KYC see the dramatic increase in Banking transactions and financial inclusion. With out any effort or spending by Govt Fin incl will triple and banking volumes will increase by 100%.

Black money is generated from the source of goods only - evading excise and other corporate taxes. Traders only help them and in turn get some relief from ST/VAT.

Budget
by P K Aravindan on Feb 28, 2011 01:36 PM

This budget is is a farcical exercise and these old politicians donot know the pulse of the situation. What is the use of exempting person of 80 yrs and above and how many are there for this? What does this shows other than gimmic! Exemption is required for the younger earning people who will have a room for saving andalso for spending which stimulates growth. Where are the promises of last year?......
