Vigilant Citizens
by Brinda gandhi on Feb 26, 2011 01:52 PM

The Vigilant "Aam Adm" had put relentless pressure on UPA-2 to control food Inflation and made the govt and former civil supplies Minister Mr. Pawar to wakeup from its stupor and deep slumber. So, the credit for this should go to Peoples pressure on the congress and its allies who were busy churning out scam after scam for "Aam Admi" right, left and centre.

Inflation is high in China also but still they are exporting every thing from Food items , electronics, glass to plastic etc etc etc.
Because China funda is Inflatation is seasonal: will come down with Good monsoon season. But if ecomomy goes down then every thing will go down itself, Jobs, purchaising power and will not come back so easily.

Bumper production and calamities, droughts etc happen in same year in this country.

The farmer get throwaway price of the crop due to bumper production where as hoarders sell same bumper production crop on 10 to 100 time price due some imaginary unrelated natural calamities.

How govt is supposed to act in correcting this situation then who will head the ICC and arrange to cricket matches ???

If Farmers get the Market Price
by dharmendra jadoun on Feb 25, 2011 07:25 PM

If Farmers get the Market Price of their food items they will be able to purchase all middlemen and hoarders in few years as servants

Alas it is not possible , because people think inflation is because of Farmers so they do not even recover investment in farming and have to commit suicide.

Inflation or growth !
by Bhumika Chowdary on Feb 25, 2011 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

I do not think Inflation and Growth can go hand in hand. To contain inflation, growth has to be moderated.

In the short-term, we need to reduce aggregate demand when supply is difficult to be increased. This obviously will put a caveat on growth which means affecting supply of credit and a resultant over borrowing.

This dilemma is tricky and requires import even if it is costly for tiding over the emergency.

Let me put it this way - Growth of Hoarders & Real state goons can not be there without inflation.

Rest all fall in place !!!
