Budget day is generally awaited by congis knowing that aam admi can be fooled to believe that he has been given tax breaks, whereas tax collection is always increased in one form or the others and that helps congis swell their swiss bank accounts.

If the Govt continues the policy of making rich more richer & not doing anything to provide just the basic needs of livelihood to ordinary & poor citizens of this country, then this country is bound to disintegrate. We Indians are known for tremendous patience & prefer to mind theri own business & look i to their own personal interst in whatever they do, but the world scenario is encouraging for common man to revolt for the better,
Income tax is collected from common man to run the country whereas the rich & the famous who make money by dubious means & deposit their in foreign banks to avoid paying tax go scot free. Even if the swiss govt is agreeing to reveal the names of a/c holders in theri banks, the Indian govt is not interested in getting these names for obvious reasons,
The people below poverty line struggle to get basic necessities like water, food & shelter after over 60 years of Independence with no initiative being taken by the govt to meet these basic needs for the poor. In fact, the improvement of lifestyle for such people is no at all within the Govt;as agenda.
All the datas generated by the govt is a farce claiming economic growth, the real factual parameters to growth is never counted, IT is the people of this country who have to rise above their own needs & gettogather to establish a new form of governance devoid of all loopholes with the present system, THE BI

Make tax laws clearer and simpler.
make paying tax more financially cheaper than having black money with simpler implementation steps.

In India we are using archaic laws from British system. Time has come to for a drastic new thinking and start trusting our own population
If following the law is financially cheaper and less risky, automatically compliance will increase
Law should be respected and feared, not just feared.
Fear will only lead to more corruption

Salaried Class
by Ramdas Nayak on Feb 26, 2011 10:13 AM

Every time expectation increases for this clause about possible concession that might be included in national budget but it has been a disappointment every time. Why this limited income class of people are taxed? Government should think that only those who draw Rs. 60,000 & above in a month are to be taxed as they only can have some disposable income to pay tax. Others have to sacrifice their happiness by transferring major portion of their income towards tax saving schemes. It is a shame that lakhs of crores were earned and deposited in foreign banks by some Indians without bothering to pay tax whereas a lowly paid employees were subject to deduction of tax from salary and being always threatened of action if they do not do!
