Thumps up is too strong and it will burn your throat. Coca Cola is on a sweeter side. Pepsi gives slight salty taste.

i did the 'blind test' on some of my hard core friends- many of them did differentiate- especially between thums up and the other

Thumsup can be easily identified by the flavour of "lavang" (cloves).Only a person with a tongue desensitized by smoking/chewing tobacco/alcohol will fail to distinguish between the two colas.

i would agree to the fact that the flavor is same but generally one should be able to distinguish as the ingredients are mixed in different degrees. it's like orange in darjeeling and orange in deraduhn would taste different, although both having orange flavor
Coca cola was unknown in South India until late sixties.A delicious drink known as Vinto was popular. In North, Coca cola was being sold at 35 paise per bottle. In 1955 a Hindi film "Miss Coca cola" was released in Chennai giving a tantalising glimpse of this exotic drink. When George Fernandes expelled Coca Cola from India, his cabinet colleague Raj Narain promised that Indian sherbets will be developed and marketed. It is all history now,but the cola remains.

I will complete the story...When Coca Cola re-entered India, they have to fight Pepsi the hard way. they bough out the Chauhans(Thums Up, etc.) for just Rs. 80 crores. One of the best investments for Coke all over the world, given Thums Up is still No.1 in market share, inpsite of Coke trying to ;kill' its own brand

Jealousy at its best! It shows your feeling towards successful people as you are a retard and frustrated failure!
