Pratibha cooked for Indira, says minister
by om shanti on Feb 10, 2011 05:14 AM  | Hide replies

Jaipur, Feb. 9: Pratibha Patil became President because she cooked and washed for Indira Gandhi when the Prime Minister was thrown out of power in 1977, a Congress minister in Rajasthan has suggested.

Panchayati raj minister Amin Khan, who was addressing party workers in Pali district near Jodhpur yesterday, said Patil had sought nothing in return for her service to the first family.

Her patience and dedication paid off when Sonia Gandhi suddenly named her the party’s choice for President in 2007, Khan said. At the time, Patil was serving as the governor of Rajasthan.

Khan, who is in his seventies, claims he meant no disrespect to the President and that he had cited her example only to encourage workers who complain that their services to the party are not recognised

This is called Democracy. Whoever is the biggest chamcha in congress, gets closer to Gandhi family and thus retains the post....he only have to cook and clean. This is called gandhi Raj.

ND Tiwari, then chiefminister of UP cleaned and took the chappals of Sanjay Gnadhi. Giani Zail Singh, ex president, offered to clean the shoes of Indira Gnadhi. This what Con-congress is.

Indians have been robbed during British rule and after too. Are you asking who robbed us less? As long as we are getting robbed, it does not matter who is better than the other. We should stop using comparatives, we Indian will never change. When we talk about a corrupt politician, we compare that person to another more corrupt politician and feel happy about it. What are our standards? Why do we think that way? Why do we elect those morons again and again and again?

Dear Suresh , Media has been keeping all the politicans at same footing becuase they get paid and Rediff or NDTV will try to create image that all politicians are corrupt so that people do not find any merit in BJP.(This is italian politics).

I have a question, if u are to appoint a driver , will you chose one eyed man or blind man.

Same applies here congress is a blind man , full of traiters , who have looted the nation , parked money in swiss banks , Thanks to Italian Madam. I feel sorry our PM , MMS.

BJP is also not sacrosanct but comparatively better (one eyed man)

So lets chose one eyed man for running the country.

Lets be intelligent enough to understand the difference between Congress and BJP. Also lets not get fooled by Sonia's dirty tricks and NDTV like channels.

Let me ask you one question. If I give you a car with half wheel and another with 3/4th wheel, which one do you choose? Both are of no use. You just dont choose the latter because it has more mass. Why is BJP the only alternative to Congress? I do not agree with your view that we should choose the better of the two, when both are worse. It is exactly this attitude that doomed us. There are a lot of selfless politicians in India, why cant we vote for them? We've seen Congress, BJP rule us, cant we vote the right people to power?

I am sure you are educated. If educated people think this way, one can imagine how illiterates think. If the Govt is corrupt, blame it on media? So you are not bothered about India getting looted, is it just media hype? What happened to your brains?

Sorry, Mahatma Gandhi was just a good person not a good Indian citizen and visionary nationalist. Nehru wanted to PM and thus allowed division of India. He did nothing against China bacos he wanted to win the Noble prize.... He was a woomaniser....Lady Mountbaton.

like Mangal pandey mistake to join Angrez army. He should not carry burden of evil.

bigger thugs in the kickback system will pressure smaller thugs to show they are clean boss.

MMS is part of the kickback and black money system

Due to pressure on Angrez to free india by USA before 1947

The Angrez in their retaliation told the kickback broker Nehru broker (nehru was among many brokers) to ally with Russian block. Pak was allowed to use USA as their supply block in which angrez were there. All these blocks were made on purpose.

Even though all these blocks have a deal with one another and unwritten agreement about the level of weapons and technology they will sell to xyz nations so they can be on one another's neck.

There is a reason why Nehru went for NAM, he wanted to keep that kickback account with angrez that Gandhi dynasty still uses (though they have many more accounts now). there is Much more to it about Asia and especially indo-pak/etc in the trap ...

this is the reason why PVNR was removed (to be replaced by dynasty and MMS), PVNR nor Lal Bahadur Shastri have all the keys, contacts and controls of the kickback and black money system that bjp-congress nexxus has.

Yes he is the best finance broker. When he was FM earlier, he opened imports for one day and in one day Reliance opened three hundred L/cs for import. He is great patron of Reliance since beginning.

Narashima Rao was the true genius for India to shine in the 1990s
by V Rao on Feb 10, 2011 01:54 AM

MMS opened by the Indian economy - but only due to the strong support provided by Rao. Rao weathered the critics and shielded MMS to concentrate on economics. Forget about the FM position, MMS was not even contesting for a Lok Sabha seat. Rao brought up MMS to the limelight and set forth the new policy.

It may be true that Rajiv formulated the new face of India - but the true architect was Rao - who has unfortunately been shunned by his own party today.

C Subramanian not in the list. How can Rediff leave out a statesman who was the architect of green revolution.

He was finance minister during emergency and testified against Indira Gandhi.

Best might be some one else but the worst should be Chidambaram
by TruthAndFact on Feb 10, 2011 01:33 AM  | Hide replies

This guy has pathetically failed in all portfolios he has held in his life time..

Early 90's: Junior Commerce minister under MMS but wiped out after some mess ups.

A failed junior commerce minister became FM under the clown Deve Gowda goverment. He announced VDIS and made a fool out of himself in an attempt to convert black money to white. In that he sent a clear message to all citizens, the honest hardworking people who has paid taxes since 1947 were all complete idiots.

His next stint under clown Gujral came up with a dream budget a big disaster.

For his third stint as FM , MMS and Sonya mic0 managed this guy and helped to string to gether a decent budget, in the mean time Dr Kalam pulled this guy for corruption and office of profit allegation.

He lost elections but cheated his way through thanks to madame and shamelessly took oath as central minister.

He then took over as Home minister from a more useless Shivraj patel, immediately told Maoists problem would solved in two days and bombs exploded killing 500 jawans, he visited sensitive parts of Kashmir only to be beaten and chased away...His highest priority these days is to shield Karunanidhi and Raja.

So far this guy is unable to resolve anything correctly. In corporate standards, if a senior official has obnoxious level of inefficiency like Chidambaram, he would be sacked and wouldn't be allowed anywhere in to the industry again. But shame on Indian politics, we always entertain inefficiency and corruption.
