Besides her poor records in attending to rail matters from Delhi, here is this sensitive issue where one has to align with her position on Land Aquisition under the garb of development. Govt should never be fixated only on development and GDP double digit growth and blindly follow "Grow/develop now and rue later".
The Maharashtra govt's recent decision to denotify the SEZ of Mukesh Ambani at raigad is the first welcome step in the right direction. The Ambani Familiy's Business emoire right from Dhiru Bhai's days were aided and supported by GOI and state Govts thru patronage, nepotism and over indulgence by Ministers and Civil Servants.
Let Mr. Mukesh Ambani go to any other greedy state and spoil the life and living of their rural masses.
If curbing Black Money is sole purpose of the Credit Card. Rather the purpose seems to be completely different. If govt and opposition is going all out against Black money then They are have to pay some bribe for getting business. Is it universally legal. I think then all charity done today is some kind of bribe paid in return for a service provided. What do you say about people teaching in schools for TEACH INDIA, and companies and religious institutions starting and Donating to schools, colleges, hospitals, home for ageds and orphanages, Starting NGOs, Companies deducting amount for charity from employees paycheck? So when Companies are starting private schools, hospitals they all amount to starting a Poultry Farm or a Cattle Farm, where you can milk and egg as much as possible with no accountability. Corruption 2G scam is when people do charity at others expense, 3G scam when people do charity at others others expense. Hope the mobile phone companies dont do Charity on their own at unknowing subscribers expense. They start selling Heads Free mobile phones, so what charity that goes from their subscribers pockets is completely transparent. If she continues as railway minister for another 2 to 3 year the railway dept may be down size their operation
Indian certainly needs a Union Minister for Railways for the entire nation. Presently what is there is just Union Minister for Railways for West Bengal.

Previous two railway ministers were for Bihar. If someone doing for his/her state what is harm in it ? if every minister takes care for his/her state then whole country will prosper.

it is ok to have DMK and AIDMK, the local parties in TN. same needs to happen in all states i.e local parties. let not congress-bjp prop puppet parties to split local parties votes and then merge with them like PRP in AP.

Darwin,this experiment was done under V P Singh,there was a revolution in the 80s the way you want.But all regional power hungry leaders made it a complete mess.The coalition was broken into pieces and at last it reached such a level,that the country was bankrupt and our gold has to be mortgazed.
Do you think regional parties have matured by now.I donot think so looking at jokers like Karunanidhi,Sharad Pawar,etc.
If you make Nitish the prime minister,he will work like prime minister of bihar just like how Hebber said above that Mamta is railway minister of bengal !
What do you know, Mamta is in favour of land acquisition for Industries but not forceable. Who defines what is forceable and what is not? Mamta?
Where the land is desigenated industrial zone and adequate comenesation is being paid for land acquisation and yet a few dont wish to sell land, will it be termed as forceable land acquisition? If yes, then what about those who are ok with the idea of selling off their land. Is this forceable land acquisation. Or is this just a ploy to extract a ranson on the part of Mamta Banerjee.
Moreover, the Nano project agitation spearheaded by Mamta, resulted in the car plant shifted to Gujrat. The land left behind was then used for a railway plant.
The question for mamta is wasn't that land acquired by forceable means?
Generally politicians tell lie whether they are in right or left parties.It is their nature.But Mamata Banerjee is such kind of leader who can go to extreme point to tell lie.Her main agenda is to throw out CPM from Bengal in coming assembly election and definitely nothing wrong is there.But for that she is giving vague idea, false, absurd promises to people which just she can’t deliver.Forcible acquisition is one of them.She is telling she is against forcible acquisition of land, but she is using Railway Land Acquisition Act 2008.Generally state Governments acquire land for railways by 1894 land acquisition bill.Perliament passed new bill in 2008 so that in rare cases if genuinely needed railway can acquire land in emergency basis by this new law,otherwise they have to get land through respective state Govt. by 1894 law.In this 2008 law landowners can’t do much if they are unwilling,but to give up their land, they have to surrender their land at any cost.Interestingly, our beloved railway minister is acquiring land in Bengal with this new law in places like Furfura Sharif and other places.She is telling people that you give land in one hand and get railway job in another hand.People are happy, they are ready to give land.But when notification comes in the newspaper there is no written clause about giving job.People ask written letter from railway officers in the spot about job and officers are not giving.How is it possible? False promises..??Till now 16 Factories in WB has been opened up by her.What has Mr Basudev Acharya did for 26 years when he was the chairman of Railwas standing comitee..?? and speaking about lies,now everyone can see how even a police Dept lie in court and blame false allegations to frame TMC workers as Maosist under the leadership of Hotyababu.
