I am using Reliance PRE-PAID since 8 years no issues best signal/coverage, never contacted customer care. Idea's gain is only b'cos of ads, there will be consolidation later and sure Rcom will regain it's lost customers !!
Worst costumer service and not so good tariff, for each and everything we have to go to web-world worst people, Reliance deserves. You get a better tariff in other GSM than reliance, In cdma you are jailed with worst choice-less handsets and you cant change the sim. MNP is a best way to get released. Only best thing is they charge 50ps in roaming.(no good for rarely roaming people). I think shift will teach Reliance a good lesson.
I like Abhishek Bachan in all the IDEA Ads that has come so far more than his hindi movies. Excellent Ads... Kudos to the Ad Comapany assoiciated with IDEA. I don't know how strong the network is in chennai. But atleast for all the cool Ads on TV, am planning to get one Idea Sim card. :)
The problem with reliance is unfair balance detection. I had moved to bangalore on august last year. I got reliance connection. As per the plan they have to detect 20 paise per minute for reliance to reliance calls. But longer duration calls (say 20 mins) they are detecting 50 paise per minute. If i call customer care, they said their server is down and unable to see the details. They were refused to register complaint also. When ever i call customer care i got the same reply. I might have called more than 10 times in two months. After that i switched to BSNL well before MNP. Atleast fare detection is good in BSNL.
The reliance has two customer care lines. One line is free and the another is charged 50 paise per 3 minutes. The customer care free line seldom attended by them. I always used chargeable line. Even i use the chargeable line my query is not solved. Reliance customer care is very very poor.
Apart from balance unfair balance detection, i was getting more than 5 - 10 promotion calls form reliance customer care. This i complained so many times to the customer care. But this also not solved. I am using BSNL for last 4 months, I haven't get a SINGLE promotion call so far. I am happy with BSNL now.

Same here. I m using IDEA, regd. wth DND but I am getting promo calls and sms's. But no such probs wth BSNL or Vodafone. Idea sells database to marketers.

I'm using Idea for last 6-7 years. They have good plans. But network wise i think Airtel is best. I've no issues abt network with Idea; infact for a brief period of 3-4 months I tried Reliance CDMA which i believe was worst.

Yes, Vodafone network is good. But costly compared to others. I am using since 2000.
