Everyone to be Blamed

While we fight corruption, black money etc. no one seems to have given a thought about builders building flats on even small piece of land and real estate brokers going and buying all agricultural lands around big cities...people are just happy that a land bought 2 years back has doubled now.

So there will be soon a day when they pay Rs 500 for a kg of Tomatoes are they have destroyed farmers life. What's the use of then your land or house fetching 1 crore...you will end up paying 50 lakhs for Engg Seat and spend the rest of food inflation and end up pauper when you have ailments.

Systematic killing of agriculture and shifting to non-local food
by Shri Hegde on Apr 26, 2011 08:46 PM

items are causing this serious issue of agriculture produce imbalance and food price inflation.
1) The govt thru free rice/oil to BPL and then thru the rural employment guarantee programs, is driving people away from agriculture.
2) Thru globalization and big retail business, we are getting used to eating food produced/transported from far-off. From apples, pears to zuccini to leechi drinks, we have dumped the local produce like gourds, guava fruit to coconut water/sugarcane juice.

FYI...u can get a normal coffee for $1.50 to $2.00. and in Starbucks you can get it for anywhere between $2.5 - $5. Whereas in India now a days in cities, coffee is sold at a minium of Rs. 15-20 which becomes highly unaffordable for common man.
Gone are the days where you blindly multiply everything by 50 and gasp with awe. India is more expensive than USA.

High Food Prices
by Coolman on Apr 26, 2011 07:29 PM

Wastage of foods in all kinds of Parties must immediately be stopped once for all.Foods are mercilessly thrown into the Dust Bin even in the Hotels.Awareness about careful consumption of food is very much essential.Similarly ban on use of agricultural land for industries be imposed.
Above all, urbanisation must strictly be monitored.

Five and Half decades of gross mis-governance!!!
by a g on Apr 26, 2011 07:23 PM

We are seeing a day like this... Thanks to five and half decades of gross mis-governance by congress!!! Congress which takes pride in liberalization has never been good at containing inflation or stemming corruption or containing terrorism. Yet, we people vote them time and again thinking that no other party can better them or is it slave mentality. While Nehru and his successors like Indira, Rajiv, Sonia and now Rahul had absolutely no qualification or credentials in ruling India, still Indians repose full faith on them and continue to elect them as leaders. Will Indians ever come out slave mentality and realize the inept and corrupt leaders and party they have been electing time and again? Guess Not. Even God cannot save India!!!

High food prices or MMS policies
by Omanchandy on Apr 26, 2011 07:18 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Blogger dont say lie,it is not high food prices which ae making people poorer but it is MMS policies ,all it began in BJP period during Bajpayee rule,BJP made propoganda that India is shining but the truth was rich were shining and the poor were becoming dirtiest in terms of money. What BJP couldnt do MMS and freinds has done to India. They made a few thousands rich but made millions poorest.India needs a Bhagat Singh to fight this capitalist desi firangi MMS and Gandhi has to be born again to free from Congis from dynasty and make India a real democracy,at present India is a banana republic.

You are silly & perverted. Compete, excel, who is occupying high posts?? Not poojaries. But only high calibered people. It may be Brahmin (But very few), Modaliyar, Gujjar, Singh, Thakur, all sardarjees in Punjab, Marathas (again non-brahmins), Aggrawals.... From your TN only what you call Poojari's are intelligent (But selfish). All others ha ha ha. Karuna, raja, balu, Kozimal (will be in jail very shortly), very pathetic.

Mr Omanchandy you are very ignorant on population control by Brahmins.
In most of the state brahmins from past many decades have adopted family planning (Except UP & Bihar where if you have less brothers you will be bulldozed by power lords)
In my state Gujrat / (Adopted Maharashtra) i have seen Brahmins have either two or only one Kid. They give best of education and send them foreign for working as they do not get jobs in India for their intelligence due to the great reservation policies.

Certain part of your statement is not true as BJP has made poor more poor. BJP's infrastructure projects such as Golder Quadrangle road project without any corruption, other project gave millions of labors work at near their home town & a very high salary. The only Onion price increment at BJP time a handywork of Cong/ncp controlled traders from maharashtra brought bad name to BJP. But what was the prices of other commodities???
Compare with the prices of same after two years of MMS & Chiddu ramber. You will find 30% to 75% overall.
Shining example of MMS, Karnaaaanidhi...-2G scam, with that money we could have had three more quadrangle projects which will further bring prosperity to villages, labors and also benefit Indian economy.
No Infrastructure projects - No growth

If you know economics you will know that inflation also leads to poverty. For instance, if you earn Rs. 20000 and your expenditure is Rs. 10000 savings is Rs. 10000. For the same earnings if your expenditure is Rs. 20000 due to 100% inflation, you have zero savings. Without saving, your future looks bleak. Thus, you become poor.

Yes thats my point MMS policies are to hype inflation and support rich,so income = 20000 and expenditure = 20000 savings is nill but what about if income is 2000 and expense is 20000 then deficiet is suffered by poor in terms of taxes etc and loans and ther begins suicide cycle of farmers, Go to Gujrat and see a few claims they are prospering but at village side poor are suffering and bearing the burnt

True. To wage a war we need:
good governance
political will
For these two, we need our current socio -political culture to undergo a major transformation.
