Does this mean we have to give 100% to employee ?
IT firms are not Charitable organization

I run a software company. I pay only 1/3 of what I earn from them.

No point sharing prosperity with employees; that is not Indian culture too, any way. And businessmen have many other extra-business expenses too - the employee class just do not understand these.

There are few companies in India that pay a lot money. Top SW, telecom, banks and FMCG , Banks pay a lot of money. Six figure salary for 20 something is not s surprise element there. But such peolle are minority in number when comapred with the population. Well what is the mimimum wage ? you compare average wages to these 1 lakh per month salary, you will see the naked reality.

Indians are immune
by Rohit ezhuthachan on Apr 19, 2011 05:16 PM  | Hide replies

When a calamity takes place in any Indian city, people attend offices the very next day. It is not because they do not love their departed ones, but the gut feeling that, 'lost is lost, what will gain from brooding over it'
We have become immune to feelings.. so far the better.

How many employees get paid at Rs.4.8 lac per annum.? On what basis and in which industry has this survey been? many empoloyees hardly earn about Rs.1 lac per annum. How did the figure of Rs. 6 lac per emplooyee profit emerge? Which company gets this. Many companies especially many samall scale companies can hardly meet their expenses and barely make money to meet their interest on borrowings.
This artcile by rediff supposedly given from PWC has ABSOLUTE NO BASE. this is meant to mislead the masses and create a gap between employees and employers. Seems like a conspiracy,to undermine the indian economy. The team involved in this survey should be asked to present the basis of their findings in public or else SHD BE CRIMINALLY PROSECUTED.. Readers, please beware of the troublemakers in the Indian economy and society..

CRAPPY & MISLEADING ARTICLE.. TOTAL NONSENSE ARTICLE

This fraudulent expert and babu and stooge of western capitalist Singh started cost rise in economy as like a hungry wolf he started pouncing on money and made every one do that.Huge pay[packets and perks, imported car models in name of globalisation and liberalisation.WE never had such brainless, fraudulent and corrupt leader ever in history of world in last 100 years.
Why Indian employees are paid average Rs 4.8 lacs salary when per capita income is only 35000 per year. And why should corporate make so high profits which come through price rise.No wonder after this Singh became prime minister loot is going on.Prices have risen 300% and still rising and property went up by 700%.I think it is Mr Singh is thrown out as PM and is arrested and put to public trail and hanged. After thius shameless and double masked conman took over corruption has reached new peaks.

Mr.Gupta ..corporate has an obligation to its share holders. I am sure you too hold some shares in some companies and would be delighted to see your dividend going up? Corporeates do have to save for rainy days too. So don't expect them to hand over everything to the employees!

Gupta ji...
If there was no liberalisation, India with its Huge population would be dying of hunger due to no jobs, as there would be no private companies to employ people.

Per capita income is 35,000 per year because of employees in pvt companies being paid good money. Otherwise it would be 3500 per year.

Don't blame someone for the heck of it.

Asad, You are not an expert and have not yet seen the problems of this country. The government is not interested in development, good work, etc, but only interested in loot. These big corporates help swindle money and pay little salary for earnings and profit they have. They prevent smaller/medium companies from operating which are far more responsible for generating employment and development.

Most of India is dependent on agriculture as main source of livelihood. So what benefits most Indians is not big corporates but development of agriculture system, irrigation networks etc.

In Delhi they started to seal business, and charges tax for regulating businesses so that the mall culture could thrive. As no one was going to malls as local shopping was cheaper. They increases cost for doing business, which creates inflation. For one thing going to Delhi does not mean cheaper goods any more. Rents for business now is too much.

One mall near by the biggest in Noida strangely most of the shops are own by one group of people. Now this group of people who own the mall how does small/medium person compete, while the mall owner make it difficult for other by changing the laws so that more business and more difficulty to compete.

See this not the benefit of the country.Even former CJI is accused in a scandal with such Mall authorities.

Reliance and other industries get into wholesale business we see hyper inflation for foods,But when are we going help majority with irrigation shemes?

Now if a small manufacturer wants to sell goods would the big mall people buy or do they already have set brands they sale namely their own brands who they share profit from. See the problem from wholesale, to manufacture, to the point of sale they wish to control. How do you expect competition, less inflation, etc? This looting system harms competition which intrn harms development.
