red bus r cheaters to say the least

from tvm to bangalore they charged rs 1500 rs .. when i contacted the same bus service the bus fare is only 950 rs ....from this itself u ppl can understand abt red bus ... before using redbus plz contact bus service operator or contact that rtravels abt the bus fare.. then only u can realize the exact price..

Thanks for leaving a comment. Yes, there is a chance of this price differential earlier on this route. There were very few bus operators who were online and a few of them would change fares whereas they wouldn't update us about fare changes.

One thing we'd like for you to know is that we are a values-driven organization that follow a high degree of ethics in our dealings. Never would we charge a higher fare if we knew it was the incorrect fare.

In fact, we have recently also launched a new feature called "high fare" that informs customers of a fare being higher than normal. You can visit our site and give it a try. Usually the fares are high during demand days (holidays and week-ends) because a lot of bus operators increase the fare to cater to the high demand. Also, some of them run buses just on those days, hence they have to pay inter-state taxes for the whole week even though they run the bus for just 2-3 days.

You can rest assured that the price on our site is reflective of what you will find at the operator end.

Dear Redbus team,
All your responses are the same.Always pointing mistake on the operator or the end user.would you never accept that it was a fault of your greediness to make money at the expense of cheating customers?i am going to read all the responses and reply everything.

As far as the rates being high, i've notices that they are normally stable, whereas the rates with the bus operator changes almost every 10min depending on the demand for that particular bus, and many a times the operator rates are higher, as i had noticed during a goa trip.
The information gap cannot be bridged since the dynamics of a bus business are spot driven.
I am sure it will take a few yrs to sort this out completely.

I agree. Redbus fares are highly expensive. But its convinient to book online

I used their service a year back and its good to see all the service providers at one place and the availability of seats. The ticket price also worked out cheap when I verified the ticket price between the Redbus and the a particular service provider web-site.

i advice u phani & guys not to bog down by below comments, they are loosers who dont have any other work rather thn coming on rediff and opening their shit filled mouth. I praise you guys strength to leave ur company and start business. Do well. Well what u can do is to drive 1-2 customer exp improvement programs and define value of ur org as customer thinks it is.

Hi Guys,

You are doing really a wonderful job!! Keep Going !!

Now you stand as a role model for all the youngsters in India. There might be some failures and Negativism, but don't really care about them. Bigger the set backs, higher the success.

Don't be surprised with the positive comments on rediff.

So they are equivalent of TravelGuru dot come or Yatra dot com - of Bus Industry.

I wonder why existing Travel Portals did not include Bus Bookings in their offering, probably they did not think its worthwhile.

Redbus was good when they started but after this Panindra started seeing money & VC's.. they changed the company...i have suffered twice due to the stupidity of this company & the callousness of their employees...even this panindra proved to be a real pain...
never talk about service or thinking of growing big in this industry if you cant make a customer happy.
may i wish that you would succeed in life after you understand & then provide customer satisfaction.

I think it is because they are at the mercy of Bus Operators in the sense that Buses do get canceled etc... OR are you referring to something else in quality of service

yes, they checked their lucrative jobs and started this venture, but they should also know how to manage this venture. they book the tickets and then few hours before the trip, they call n say the bus has some problem, hence its canceled, so will give you another bus, and the other bus will be one of the worst with pathetic service!
it happened with me! and the cost of the ticket too is very expensive! a sharma bus ticket from hyderabad to bangalore cost around 800/- these guys sell hyd-bang ticket for 1350!

and if they give you another bus, they refund the difference amount back, instead they give coupons!

they expect us to use their pathetic service again! this is the age of information technology, there are many more options available!

Dear Vasant,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I'm not sure when the event of a higher fare for Sharma happened. The fares on our site is the same as the fares on operator sites.

You can do the comparison too. We'll be happy to know of any discrepancies.

About cash coupons, this is an option and not mandatory. We discontinued it as a mandatory option in 2008 itself. When you cancel a ticket, you have the option to ask for the refund back to the payment mechanism you used to book your ticket. If you need to transact once again for some other date of journey, you can opt for a cash coupon so that you don't have to use the payment gateway again.

You should visit our site once again in case you haven't. You'll find many interesting features that weren't available earlier.

Actually at the earlier stage they are new and make the service good. Now a days they have earned like anything by which they are forced to do like this..!
