What about Pune, Noida and Hyderabad
by sreenivasulu reddy on Oct 14, 2010 08:25 PM

I believe the above 3 cities are also expanding rapidly. Many companies are coming into these cities and settng up their base here. I believe most of the software companies are going to these cities because of skilled labor, Cultural and entertainment these cities are offering.
Looks India is expanding heavily. It is good in one way.In other way, it is bad in the sense that the impact it might have on environment.

hindi language is hardly 800 to 1000 years old still not perfect in grammer and depending on sanskrit. other indian languages more than 2000 to 5000 years old, which are having their own grammer with prerfection.

I think you lost your sense. Who said hindi is pure than other indian languages.. First of all, dont speak like a child and hurt other sentiments. There are only 2 languages which are old in india and those are sanskrit and tamil and hindi is no way in to it.

HAHAHAHA....you sure can make ppl laugh wiseguy...

Noida can never overtake Ahmedabad and Surat in manufacturing as they have Indias largest manufacturing zones...As a matter of fact Gujarat is the hub of Indian manufacturing...

Best Administration...???? Gujarat has been declared the best administered state again n again ...

If you think by Noida having a metro system is by default gonna be the best in the world then you seriously need to travel...

Economic hub of Asia...???? Really...Noida is nothing more but an extension to Delhi which itself is not an economic hub of India...forget Asia...!!

Tallest tower in the world ???? UH HUH...??? Does that make you the fastest growing city...?? By the way give me the details of this tower of yours...!!

Richest people in the world...Try beating Surat , Chandigarh , Mumbai , Ahmedabad , Delhi , Bangalore first dude...!!

I know the culture of Noida...a totally unsafe place where you have scumbags like Moninder Singh pandher killing helpless children and getting away with it...

Excuse me...Who in the world said that TN is more industrialized than Gujarat...???? Dude...You kindly go and check your facts first...seriously...!!!

Look at the total industrial output of TN and compare them with Gujarat and you will get your answer...

Ahmedabad and Surat are the textile hubs of India...

Gujarat accounts for more than 50 % of India's refining capacity ...

Gujarat accounts for more than 90 % of chemical production...

45 % of pharma products are made in Gujarat...

65 % of India's plastic processing industry lies in Gujarat...

Whom are you trying to JOKE here southi ???

all raw materials in tamilnadu are from north india.
if north india stops raw material to tamil nadu. tamil nadu will go to stone age.

No one wants to go to chennai . ppl prefer bangalore, gurgaon, hyderabad, noida.
when chennai cant attract people from other state, it is still like semi urban boring city

why you are jealous of Noida ?
you should not forget the fact that surat or ahemdabad , it was developed because of talent and hardwork of hindi people.

surat has more hindi people than gujaratis.

manufacturing hubs needs strong skill people.
Gujuratis are not hard workding as hindi. how can they sustain manufacturing for long run ?

Gujrat is on heavy debt . also it doesnt have agriculture industry.

and yes, hindi cinemas are becoming international cinema. who watches gujurati and tamil cinemans ??
this is growth of language and culutre.

@ Pankaj

Where did you get this idea that Gujarat is very heavy on debts ????

Whatever debt it has is mainly owing to the fact that its spending huge amounts in infrastructure which is world class...unlike in Noida ...

Regarding agriculture...my dear friend...you seriously need to brush up your knowledge...GUJARAT HAS ACCOUNTED FOR INDIA'S HIGHEST AGRICULTURE GROWTH AT 9 %...

Big Cities Vesus Small cities
by alok Misra on Oct 14, 2010 06:28 PM  | Hide replies

THe western concept of Big cities is not a good concept. Facilities can be provided in small cities cheaper and of the same standard. In America it is justified becuse in the begining there was low population butr in India we already have some 300 Cities. Instead of creating slums in Big cities we should concentrate in building these small cities.India was never a Jungle like America or Europe or Russia. It always had well developed cities whicjh were seat of power and rulars saw to it that employment opportunities were well spread.Even Delhi was not the only center of Political power at any point in Time for last 1000 Years or more.Such power centers corrupt the society and alienate the citizens and ultimately lead to division of minds and culture. In case of China it can be justified and even there the political center and Economic centers are different which is wise step,.We have enough resources to develop and we should not pump out the resources from hinterland to some selective big cities becuse this causes social and economic disintegration and seperatism. Our prime minister advocates big cities- is He the product of any big city/ If you see the medal winners in recent games they are mostly from small cities. Big cities dehumanize indivisuals , destroy their self esteem and worth and create social disintegration. We must not resort to this model

Mumbai-Pune-Nashik Triangle
Delhi-Agra-Noida Triangle
Bangalore-Mysore-Arsikere Triangle
Jalgaon-Bhusaval-Aurangabad Triangle
so many triangular developments but real estate is sky high as well as worst public transport where nearly 5000 innocent person loose their lives in mumbai rail but railway minister is shame less enough to ask rail way police to file charge sheets
in Thane the rail to SATIS bridge is night mare for passengers in evening when we come to SATIS we wait for minimum 3 hours for say lokmanya nagar buses so life in satelite cities like thane is miserable. Thanks to TMC BMC also

Growth of cities.
by Subhash Deshmukh on Oct 14, 2010 05:42 PM

Growth of cities it no doubt a welcome event. But what is the use of that growth which make the local people jobless and homeless. Foreget Mumbai come to Navimumbai - It is well planned and infrastructuraly well developed but where is the role for the local Agri and Koli communities - They all are deprived of their land by CIDCO - today they dont have any land to till nor any job to do - What is there fault if they turn to Naxalism or to any other ism for their survival - Before development of any city the goverment must ensure the proper rehabilation of the local people be it Mumbai, Chennai, Banglore or Ahmedabad.- Here government is buying land at trhow away prices from farmers and sales to industrialists and reach people at exorbitant prices - this is called development - If that is the development I wish our cities remain last in the list of Fobes Manual

Telangana - Amber in the ash
by Gopi on Oct 14, 2010 05:35 PM  | Hide replies

Watch out for Telangana which is in the making. The state will rise like a phoenix from the ashes to unleash a trail of blazing growth in the next 5 years which will leave entire India in state of shock and awe. Major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai will look like lilliputs biting the Telangana dust. If Chandrababu has designed the hitec city, master planner KCR is miles ahead of him chalking the roadmap to build the sci-fi city by 2015. Billionaires from Dubai, London, Paris, NewYork are already queing up before KCR to book a foothold in the region. Top celebrities from Dubai Palm beach are repenting now for buying the properties there.. hahhaha
