India should learn
by samant kumar on Nov 17, 2010 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

India shoud learn fom US in auctioning items which belongs to fraudesters. All people and politicians, who are caught looting common man of his earnings of his whole life, should be put to atleast 50 years in jail n all their belongings should be auctioned to raise funds for the people from which they have looted that money. WE ARE REALLY GETTING IRRITATED WITH EVERYDAY NEWS OF NEW FRAUDS COMING INTO SPOTLIGHT. Put these people behind bars for ever. Our patience is running out.

Not only thy should be arrested and trials conducted on fast track court, but also their houses, wealth and bank accounts must be taken over by govt. They should be banished to Andamans so that they will not interfere with the evidence. Instead of govt proving them gulty, the politician should prove he is not guilty. Till then he could be given only a subsistence allowance. Vish

Follow same for our politicians and business men
by Ravi on Nov 17, 2010 11:21 AM  | Hide replies

Prosecute Raja, Kalmadi and other Politicians and send them to jail. Recover money from them by selling off their homes and properties. Recover money from corporates who have benefitted through these corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Justice should be quick and must be exemplary so that others are afraid.

And look what happened to the perpetrators !

Lehman Brothers bust chief culprit is behind bars and his assets have been seized.

Bernard Madoff is also behind bars and his assets (as are the assets of numerous powerful business associates) frozen and on the way for confiscation to settle the dues of those defrauded

I do not know which UK MP's false claim you are referring to; but I remember a fairly recent case where one UK MP who spent govt. money in such fashion (on his official residence) was forced to resign the moment this matter came to light !

Contrast all this with the situation back home where every corrupt and powerful person has been allowed to retain all his loot despite being in the spotlight for corruption !!

I being a aland lord, take half in cheque and half in cash. That is an understanding between the lessee and lessor. Every 11 months upon renewal of deed, the same this is repeated.

to the american justice delivery system. In India at most he would have resigned from his party post and continued to enjoy his riches so long he sent his cut to the part high command. I think we will never be able to reach this level of honesty.
