India has to plug the loopholes in our growth rate:- -Check in population - disincentives to larger family size -development of infrastructure like roads, power, irrigation, health services -employment opportunities in non-government sources -check in high rate of corruption -revival of green revolution -strengthening of food processing industry -less government controls -improvement in quality of education -more emphasis on technical education -better public distribution system -cut in government expenditure To achieve all this, we need political stability in the country and friendly neighbourhood. -Government functioning should improve substantially. -Unwanted government institutions should be wound up -More attention should be given to rural areas -Women should play more dominant role in governance -Food wastage due to poor storage facilities should be eliminated -Media should concentrate more on national development rather than airing sensational stories on petty issues -Communal harmony should be maintained at any cost. -Balanced use of our natural resources should be promoted. -Proper management of our water resources -Power from non-conventional and renewable energy sources -Each State should ensure that there is no mal-nutrition and hunger in their respect States. -Political appointments in key positions in the government and public sector should be stopped -Government should launch mass awareness campaigns to educate and motivate people.

All these can happen ONLY AND ONLY IF we Indians start owning India and realise the security and prosperity stakes we havein it.This can happen by generating a NATIONALISTIC MINDSET by PRACTISING NATIONALISM in our daytoday life , the way we practise religion, i.e. openly showing and prpogating our love ,pride and respect for India at all possible places and occasions....Rashtra Bhavna, Hyderabad
India does not stand a chance to become a super power. The living condtions in India are disgusting. Look at the no. of poverty stricken people. How can you expect India to grow in such conditions. India will remain the dirtiest country in the whole world.

We need to start free food for BPL people. It can be done once Unique ID project comes through. India also has enormous wealth stashed in Swiss banks that can fund BPL people free food for 300 yrs.

Excellent. GOI is also doing excellent but who will address the following:
2.5% of world area in India will be supporting 20% of world population. By any standard this is not feasible and we may require another mother earth to attain same standards as those of developed nations for 1750 million people.
To realise the dream, GOI must now seriously think to imlement one child policy.

India is developing becoz of our rich culture with emphasis on education, respect and simple living. Politicians can never corrupt that. They are just good at being opportunistic and stealing. That's not too bad.
Most economic projections do not consider the levels of saturation (current state of achievement versus feasible upper limit to achievement, both within a country and in the total of individual countries) as an important factor in the projection models. Hence wide deviations would continue between projection and actual. The impact of deviations would be more and more significant as more and more economies cross limits of being marginal economies and mov closer to significant economies.
