But will you have enough space to drive them in the near future?

If these companies keep dumping their cars and Indians keep buying them like they are now, there won't be any roads left to drive them on soon!

The more flyovers the government builds the more cars it will attract.

One day, we'll get on the roads to find there is no space to drive them on!

That day is not far!!

Own a car, but own responsibility for good public life also..
by manoj kumar on Mar 14, 2010 12:57 AM

road maintainance and desicpline driving are key to having a good car. driving has to be learned, how to use effieciently to save oil. plan your trip so dont get in traffic. these are key to high millage.
Also just because u have short car, does not mean u keep chaning lane. this is biggest reason of slow traffic in india. when u change lane unnecessary, the car behind u has to break little bit. and guess what, it has started a chain reaction. lakh of car on the road will have to break because of this. Result - slow traffic for every one. Its highly essential that we undrstand we learn how to drive responsibly. its require lots of learning, training. just owning a car and make peope's life a nightmare is very easy thing to in india.

Yes you are right. But it is the right product for the Indian market. India mostly lives in B-Class cities and in such cities people prefer 2-Wheelers for day to day travelling; it opts for cars only in case of weekend family outing. For such weekend application investing 8-10 lakhs doesn't make sense, resulting this, market for high end cars is not there in India. Things are now changing in A-Class cities but here too people are price sensitive and so only base models of high-end cars are available.

the car market is very consumer oriented. The brands which sells in US do not sell in Japan, those which sell in Europe have no takers in S.E. Asian Countries. Hence brand has a specific market segment with defined demographics of the user. Maruti Suzuki, sells good in India that's it.. how are u bothered if it isnot selling in other countries...

What do u think? Maruti cars gets imported to India from Japan. They are fully maufactured in Indian soil with Indian employees.

Oh, btw can you tell Tatas to stop selling nano in europe and north america.

Last an average joe will shell out his hard earned money on stuff which is reliable and cost effective and not on Made In India or Japan or Korea or Timbktu labels

In the first place, why should you run your car for 2,00,000 kilometers ? I think, most people dispose cars off after 50,000/- to 1 lakh kilometers or so. I am surprised you are not complaining about your grandnanny or granddadyy ' medicine bills are putting a big hole in your pocket !
