Not only b schools.. engineeering, mbbs, bds even phd's in some colleges are sold thru consultants. Many deemd univs in chennai / tn get students from bihar, up and northeast thru agents. So dont blame b schools alone
It is time that government should now interfere to curb such practices. We can understand upon the quality of managers our industry will get if such management graduates enter into the industry. Already the older generation with the colonial bent of mind are still holding good positions in the corporates. It is dificult to get rid of them and soon we will be looking for means to get rid of the new useless managers. Earlier the better.
This is just a package deal. Instead of bribing people... at written exam, then bribe someone to get you clear GD, then bribe some interviewers... go ahead and buy a complete package :D
