Why not away with Agriculture Ministry ?
by Count Meout on Jul 08, 2010 04:13 AM

Sharad Pawar must quit as Agriculture Minister. For a country like India where Agriculture is the life blood of the Economy, it is a tragedy of epic proportion that agriculture ministry is run in reckless manner. Indian agriculture productivity is one of the lowest in the world. Every year, many farmers are committing suicide. The government and the ministry shrug their shoulders saying they are not to blame. If the Ministry cannot solve the problems, then that Ministry does not deserve to exist. The Ministry has neither solved the farmers problems nor the country's problem. Best is to wind up this ministry and save the cost of having this Ministry.

How much the Center pay Rediff?

Knowing the Congress party well, I would think this is a PAID news, just to gather momentum to their plan of sacking Pawar as Union minister and use his own request as an excuse. I would welcome forcing him out of the cabinet.

Now, why would anyone care to retain this guy. The center doesnt need your permission to fire this guy
.
He should have been fired a long time ago. He is a typical politician that loves to hold on to a chair or find a new chair. What a waster of tax payers money.

Well said, Talisman. He has been a liability of gargantuan proportion & heaven alone knows how much his family has swindled the Indian exchequer. He is an atypical politician who like the Bourbons of yore learn nothing or unlearn anything as he thinks he is to the manor born in a democratic socialist state. If he is fired, the servile Marathas will prop him up as the Emperor who wore no clothes but aspires to be greater than his obese bulk !

Our top priority should be to increase the production of wheat, pulses and vegetable so that prices will be within the reach of common man. Every year due to flood, our country is losing precisous foodgrains since there are no proper warehouses to store them. Pawarji please do something . Millions of people will be benefited.

Thank you genius for making us aware of Pawar's smartness. Who gives a damn about a buffoon that has done nothing for india and a man that has no administrative abilities.

Congress is corrupt. They have allowed this corrupt minister that tried to support multinationals that wanted make money by selling genetically modified seeds and ensalve the indian farmers.

This is a nothing guy who is a joke as president of ICC.

He will do nothing for india and everything for lining up the pockets of his family.

One advise to Manmohan, kick this corrupt man out of these posts and from abusing india for his own self.
