It can be adventurous when it on a highway and its totally traffic free, then it can take off and land after some distance at the highway. It can also be dangerous since the highway might not be even and smooth like a runway.
it is not so practical because it still requires a 2500 ft runway and can't take off n land on roads n resume journey like a car.. only a vertical take off and land (vtol) car will make more sense as a true car-plane

A person in US was suggesting to use Hot air or helium balloons in crowded cities for transportation. I think this option should be considered seriously for Indian cities.
I think days will come when a man can fly by himself. I think it is just a matter of 10 to 20 years before you see man flying himself like a Spiderman.

with the corruption in India and its politicians and their thugs , whether we will be able to walk without fear in the street itself is a big question.
