INDIA does not need food it needs fodder. It has a hell lot of a population than the natural food can cater to, so GM food should be introduced to increase food quantity, forget about quality.

Fertilizer vs GE
by Sushil Narayan on Feb 09, 2010 04:55 PM

Silly and idiotic comparing the gene sequence of a carrot, which must have taken millions of years to evolve and become as we know it now, to Bt greed! If there is any tangent in your persuasions at all, it is one of mosanto, the same which formed the basis for incompetent Indian Agricultural ministry’s perspective. Govt who once were a fertilizer industry’s PR agent now posing as GE PR agent.
The more vociferous you(corporations) and the govt get with their pitch the more it helps us realize the shadows behind the stilettos.
Shame, you wouldn't even hesitate quoting and pretend to be on the same side as Aristotle or Plato all of who had tremendous reverence for life, its intelligence and process. Their scientific perspectives always based on mathematics than on corporation’s expensive PR, company generated data, cheap cluttering of sales pitch and noise from NY to ND to Timbuktu.

Bt Brinjal

Every thing that West does we copy it.This has been our habit for years now.Let alone the Bt Brinjal & cotton ,our market is flooded with hybrid vegetables/fruits which do not taste like our desi variety. I think two exceptions so far have been cross bred cows(mostly in south)improving milk yield and poultry. It is too premature to introduce Bt in this country. Mr.Ramesh,pl.dont make haste. Dr.Jaman Lal.
