Budget 2010-11
by Rajagopalan Krishnan on Feb 26, 2010 07:31 PM

The budget as usual has the intricate deception. On one hand Mukherjee is giving Income-tax benefits to the salaried class, on the other he has increased the price of gold, automobiles, diesel, petrol, MAT etc. which will definitely have a cascading effect on the common man. When I say common man I am talking about the poor people and people whose income is lower than 1.6 lacs. Government babus are compartively richer and the unscrupulous staff in excise and income tax department will definitely make a hay while the sun shines! There is no drastic measure on the teeming population nor there are any meausres to tackle the skyrocketing food prices. This budget again favours the builders and not the home seekers as the racket involved in the housing and black money churned out in the deal is still untackled. It is common knowledge in each deal minimum 10 to 50 lacs are made in black by the builders and the buyers bave no hesitation in shelling out the money in black. It is very difficult to either eradicate poverty or corruption in India with the present government machinery. I am sorry the budget is totally a far-fetched and impracticable one which superficially looks good at a glance. If India has to catch up with the west they have to arrest the teeming population and give enough space for people to breath fresh air as the cities are becoming concrete jungles. In fact the houses are not bought by the needy but people who want to double their income in short span of time

FM's daughter's laughbale taxation
by Mahesh on Feb 26, 2010 07:25 PM

FM's daughter wants eve-teasers to be taxed.Just becoz she is a woman she started blabbering something in the name of woman welfare. Only job-less and illetarate youths involve in eve-teasing.Then if they start taxing these eve-teasers what is the source of income.
secodnly there is a taxation rule that says till 1.6 lac/annum no tax. Now this rule will over-rule the FM's daughter's GREAT THINKING OF WOMAN WELFARE.
Assume some ev-teasers are ready to pay the tax, then eve-teasing will not be stopped. They will pay the tax for eve-teasing thinking it is their duty. Normally human thinking wants eve-teasers to be punihsed and not taxed.
But our great FM's daughter innov ative thinking... what should I say... It left me amused for hours.

Budget Doesn't make many differences
by Sachin Devkule on Feb 26, 2010 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

Here the budget is not for the common man and it's little bit OK for the middle class schedule Ok for providing tax benefit but if person earn that much so he can pay na If he won't get a source for earning for paying tax then the budget become worst
So whenever u planning such thing don't see u r pockets but see the face of common man who is struggling and giving a real tactic votes to u leader who forgot everything once u r pocket get packed..........So it's only a fake thing is presented toward society...

The budget has given relief to those who were already paying taxand the finance misnister says proudly that it will benefit 40% of tax payers/ What pains is the fact that he has conveniently forgotton those people who are crossing the already existing expemption limit of rs.1.6 lakhs. He should have increased this limit atleast by 10 to 15 thousand rupees.
This is a useless budget for this category of persons. Pampering those who are already pampered and ignoring those who have been reeling under price rise is the dictum of the finance minister.

so, someone making 2 lakh will pay 10% on 40k or 4k rupees

not too shabby even for them ... after all, you cannot live forever for free .. no?
