I think the list should be as follows: 1) TATA Group 2) Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd (18.5% Stakeholders of TATAs) 3) Thermax 4) Godrej 5) Infosys 7) HPCL

Typical mentality of one who looks Too Much TVs and does not apply brain. Industry Inc is responsible for all problems of common men. It is not merely Govt. but Industry which is alloying problems in Aam Aadmi Life. No Industrials work with corruption. Even , they don't respect honesty of employees. Honest employees alwasy have the smaller tenure of service and are branded as Job hoppers.
Common, Wipro, Infosys in this list? Did they give any money to writer? One more thing, Price Water House Coopers, the same company which was a part of Satyam saga and did annual audit. Such a crap list.
This list is wrong. I have worked in Mindtree. The attrition rate is very high @ Mindtree. if this is the most admired company than the attrition should not be so high that every week at least 50 employees resigns.

our organizations are like flowing rivers. water flows in and flows out in a river. similarly, people come and go.

Anderson Consulting which is now Accenture and look at people they have already forgotten
AC was financial consultant and auditor to Enron and largely ignored the corruption and scandals to retain their contracts

Dude, if you had obtained this list in google, you would have said that rediff is just a copy cat.
Price WaterHouse Coopers were also invloved in the Stayam Scam where they bluffed the whole world. I really do not understand how they are part of the list of admired companies.

The company mentioned here is PwC Global. PwC India is a member firm of PwC Global. Anyway PwC is present in more than 150 countries and is over 130 years old company. Do you really think one Satyam in India can tarnish that image..

these ranks are nothing but bullSHT. In 2007, Lehman brothers was awarded by S&P as well as Times magazine the best global financial institution. Then, AIG was awarded by US govt the best employer in US, where as CITI(who never sleeps) awarded best bank in 2006. The entire world knows their feat. One already perished, rest 2 got life line of billions of money to survive. Same this you may see in 2002 IT bubble, Sun Microsystem was awarded one of the top 3 IT co.s who made US proud, whose share were trading at 126$ per share, after 8 years trading at 3$. So, don't be over react on these numbers, cause these are just gimmicks to stay on plot.

perhaps, this list was given to rediff by the tata-lobbyist lady radia, placing tatas in the number one position..
Reliance chor company not on list of admired firms. They are well known for looting innocent farmers in name of SEZ & Investors in name of share buy back, takeover.
