If everybody is honest in his work, then all models work correctly for the better of this country - be it private or public enterprise. Do u know that even in a firm like Infosys, AMC contracts are got through bribes to the purchase manager ? Privatisation has its own drawbacks, just like PSU's have. Moreover if a PSU is performing well, then there is nothing like it. Bcos it offers the best in terms of social security and wealth to the public.

Corruption is there in private sector also... but unlike public sector they are not inefficient..

(I know for sure purchasing department in many private companies take cash for contracts but it affects only the company not the country
).

Privatisation is not a solution - in fact its a knee jerk reaction to wash off hands off responsibilities. Almost all PSUs are profit making and honest in its endeavour. Its the politicians under guise of PPP selling off profit making units and keeping sick units - then write it off. Like selling off Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderadbad & Cochin airports. They were milch cattle of AAI. In fact AAI has been awarded MINI NAVRATNA for posting profit for 03 consequtive years. Of course those in the private sector envy those in the Public sector - hence call for PRIVATISATION (SIC).

With very limited resources, all the 3 oil cos (IOC, BPCL, HPCL) have performed excellently well inspite of the best efforts from Govt to wipe them off. These companies have always ensured availability which is very crucial for this countries development.
