they r not removing suferings ... they are keeping vicious IN cycle ... a poor rick fellow will never come out of his plight. he will die paying 35 everyday to this rickwalal massiha. he will become rich and rich from ad earning. his turnover is 4 cr right? how much does he spent on pooor fellows? any success story that son or daughther from his organisation has done MBA,DOC, ENg etc. he only says his turn over....all false , froud, jhoot, fareb , dhokha with poor. JUST TO BOOT PUBLIC AND GOVT MONEY .
This progress is very debatable. On one side, he definitely has made a difference to at least a fraction of Rickshaw pullers. While this is laudable, pulling rickshaw itself is very hard labor. Life is real hard for these guys. By increasing the profit, pulling rickshaw does not become easy. Also by making it more profitable, more youngsters may be motivated to take this profession. But without this profession what will they do? There are strong argument for and against this profession. I think serious thoughts are needed rather than knee-jerk reactions.
Finally, I wonder where did he get this number of 10 million? I seriously doubt this.
Most of the south does not have this mode of transport. If we take the population of rest of India (1100-400), that leaves about 600 to 700 millions. Out of this 10 million rickshaw pullers - which means almost 1 in 60 people is a rickshaw puller? I seriously doubt.

Rickshaw is bad mode of transportation ,unsafe, cause mess all over in traffic.This guy is doing just for sake of popularity , and making money through ads.There is need of alternative for rickhaw , something like battery operated or natural gas operated four wheeler (not three wheelers).It will provide employment and good living for their families too.

always easier said than done...seems you are unaware of the practicality of life of these rickshaw pullers. Govt has done little for this class and hence your idea of replacing them is totally useless.. ..A man who is unable to finance the rickshaw he pulls, how you think he will afford a 4 wheeler even though its battery operated ????? This man has seenn the ground reality At least is trying to make their lives easy...It should be appreciated....

this guy is exploiting the misery of poor rickshaw fellows....he is trying to change his own fate n not the rick pullers. Innocent people and immature media are his strengths. lets not ignore such fellows. they will create bigger in future for society. regulatory bodies should keep keen eyes on their activities.

what innovation has he done... he has increased the physical load on the human rickshaw puller by adding hoarding boards, music equipment, water bottles, magazines etc.
I would have appreciated if he had used technology instead to reduce the mechanical force required for pulling the rickshaw, something which is less damaging to the spine and lower back of the poor emaciated human rickshawpuller.
Instead here we have a blood-leech, a slave driver.

Cycle rickshaws in the cities where they exist, cause traffic mess. It is not possible for cars and cycle rickshaws to run on the same road smoothly. Eventually, cars end up running at the speeds of rickshaws. These rickshaws should be abolished, and people who drive them should be given alternative employment.
