D goel
Ankit Mehta's IdeaForge
by D goel on Sep 26, 2009 01:20 PM

D. goel , Pkl., afternoon 1.20pm, Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009.
Sri Ankit mehta is committed to his perception for his innovative start-up that like any other of that kind shall be badgered of resources , patrons, marketing and other elements that always make innovation despite its romantic lore , that very little attractive except those few, who can afford to dare walk. But routine careerism and quest for effluent mediocrity is not everybody's cup of success, either . Theirs is a separate cup and has designs of different Measures.
A progressive and an understanding community must seek to minimise an innovators' troubles by showing faith in their sincere intentions by offering easy term for providing Resources even for sowing wild Oats ,as it were..D. Goel

so even IIT geniuses have it tough
by Devdutt Nayak on Sep 26, 2009 09:04 AM  | Hide replies

The problem with us is that we do too much hero worship.

The fact that Ankit faced so much trouble starting a small company even while keeping only a minimum salary for himself ...
DOES NOT SHOW ONLY that he is a single sole great genius.

MORE THAN THAT it shows that the entire investor community in India is a bunch of jokers who do not understand the importance of funding startups with great ideas and solid technical backgrounds.

Engineers want to concentrate on the technology, not on money-making.

The problem is that to get access to the current Tech VC funds in India, you have to be a blue-chip in academics - IIT or IIM and among the best in those institutes too.

IIT profs dont really entertain everyone with passion and with an idea.

Nor do any VCs

Nor does any investor or business forum. In this respect CII/FICCI and so on are pretty much miserable failures.

And by not voicing this fact, aware citizens do not bring pressure upon the Govt or Industry to start something that can help their own children in times of hardship when jobs are scarce.

A VC fund for small startups was the most obvious choice in the face of the recession.

Nobody suggests that.

That is the problem.

IIT profs are already fighting another battle for pay parity, so they are busy now.

Similar Chargers were been sold in Bombay - Pune Trains.

Hope the news maker will be amazed if he comes to know that this hand charger was invented long ago, and is not a patented device of this IITian.
